On azuri and foster mother’s petrified faces
Azuri (na)
That’s when I realized they were out for my blood
The crowd advances like zombies smelling fresh flesh
Foster mother gives azuri her car keys
Foster mother
Take my car and run
Azuri is lost, why is she doing this
Azuri
Why? What is going on?
The crowd gets more vicious the closer they get
Crowd

Daylight breaks and shines on her eyes, causing her to wake
She sits up looking around
She explores the forest
She finds a river and runs towards it
Azuri (na)
I find a river clean enough to drink from
She kneels before it and takes a drink like an animal. The water is clean, fishes still swim in it
She sits on the bank, wind blowing her hair to the side
Azuri (na)
I sit on the river bank without moving. I am no witch. I would never kill anyone. I remember
the news article about my parents
She starts to cry
Azuri (na)
And how they died in a spontaneous house fire. An event much like this one.
She sits there until the sunsets
Azuri
Maybe I am a witch after all
The cold breeze snaps her out of her trans
Azuri (na)
The cold river brings me back to life. I’ve been sitting here for hours.
She gets back up and goes back into the forest
Her tummy starts rumbling. She is hungry
Azuri (thought)
I have to look for food before it gets completely dark
She spots a dead bird by a tree trunk
She picks it up and thinks about it
Azuri (thought)
Should I?
Her tummy rumbles louder this time
Azuri (thought)
But I am so hungry
She picks its feathers off
Azuri
What the hell
The bird is clean shaven; she tries to take a bit
Azuri
Bone appétit
It tastes nasty
Azuri
Yuck!!
Azuri (thought)
I have to cook this
She collects some sticks
She puts them in fire formation, like a pyramid
She shuts her eyes to meditate. Trying to summon her powers again
Azuri
Let’s see if this will work
Azuri (na)
I think about fire. I think about the school burning and the mob that was chasing me and
how they burnt an innocent woman for helping me
Her left hand starts to glow like it did back in class
Azuri (na)
I start to get mad and wish I could burn them all to hell. That is when it happens. The feeling
I had back in class.
Her fingers start to catch fire
Azuri (na)
I focus all of that heat to my left hand
Then her whole hand ignites into flames
She opens her eyes and gazes upon what she just made in jubilation
Azuri
I did it. I made fire
She puts her hand on the sticks and they catch fire
The sticks burn
She tries to blow it out
but it won’t go out
Azuri (thought)
How do I turn this thing off?
She shakes her hand and it seems like it is turning off
But as she stops the flames go back on
Azuri
Come on
She runs back to the river
She sticks her hand into the water
The flames are dead and she takes her hand out
She returns to her camp. Her fire still on
She sticks a stick up the birds butt all the way out its mouth
She places it on the fire, roasting it
A shot of the full moon
She takes a bite of her cooked bird

a person.
She stands in line behind a lady at the till counter
A gun is pressed to the back of her neck
A dude masking himself with a scarf is pointing the gun on her
Masked man
Saph”imali
The store clerk and the lady before her have their hands up, both scared

Azuri
Get that thing off my neck
Masked man
I said saph”imali
Azuri channels her powers, increasing her body temperature
The gun starts getting red hot
Masked man
What the…?
The gun is very hot and he drops it like a hot potato blowing his hand
The store clerk is also astonished
