Refrigerators are used for the storage of many different kinds of foods which create many different kinds of
odors. Fruit and vegetables are treated with pesticides while other kinds of foods already have visible and
invisible bacteria on them when they are purchased. There is no circulating air inside the refrigerator, so the
bacteria can spread and the pesticides cannot dissipate.
The Genius Air Ionic Freshener & Deodorizer for Refrigerators is an innovative device that operates on the basis of
ionic technology. It generates ozone (03) and anions to reduce
- damaging gases involved in food decay such as Ammonia and Ethylene
- nasty odors that can linger and develop in enclosed spaces
- the amount of airborne bacteria
It makes sure that your refrigerator always smells fresh and can keep foods fresh for longer. Genius Air helps
reducing Ethylene gas which develops while the perishing process of food, which speeds up perishing and which
causes bad odors in the fridge.

Instructions for use

1. Remove the battery door (5) on the bottom of the unit by sliding it towards the front of the unit. Insert the
3 AA batteries that are provided with the unit, making sure that the poles are in the correct direction (as per
the markings on the bottom of the unit). Then slide the battery door back until it clicks into place.
2. Press the ON/OFF button (2) once. The power indicator (4) lights up in green and starts blinking at regular
intervals. (Press the ON/OFF button again to switch off the unit).
3. Press the MODE button (3) when the unit is switched on to toggle between the operating modes.
"HIGH" mode: The power indicator (4) lights up in green and blinks at regular intervals. The unit remains in
continuous operation for around 15 minutes and the power indicator blinks every
2 seconds. This is followed by a 15-second phase of disinfection and deodorization every
30 minutes. Between phases, the unit remains idle to conserve battery power and the
battery indicator blinks every 10 seconds.
''LOW" mode: The power indicator (4) lights up in orange and blinks at regular intervals. The unit remains
in continuous operation for around 10 minutes and the power indicator blinks every
2 seconds. This is followed by a 10-second phase of disinfection and deodorization every
30 minutes. Between phases, the unit remains idle to conserve battery power and the
battery indicator blinks every 10 seconds.
 4. The power indicator (4) blinks red if the batteries need changing. Proceed as described in step 1 to change
the battery. Ensure that the temperature of the casing has warmed up to room temperature first.

Caution!
1. Remove the batteries if the unit is not being used for a lengthy period of time.
2. Switch off the unit when you remove it from the refrigerator. The low temperatures inside the refrigerator
will cause condensation on and inside the unit's casing as soon as it comes into contact with room
temperature. If the unit is not switched off, the electrical parts may short circuit and case damage to the
metal parts or the batteries.
3. Do not bring the unit in contact with water.
4. The unit is only designed for use in the refrigerator. Please never put the unit in the freezer compartment!
5. Do not use the unit in the vicinity of flammable or combustible products or vapours.
6. Do not shake the unit, otherwise internal parts may come loose.

• Cleaning:
Only clean the unit with a moist cloth (never allow it to come into contact with water or dip it into water!),
then dry thoroughly. Do not use scouring pads, rough cloths/ sponges or caustic cleaning agents.
