in the state of Rajasthan and consists of a Plaque and Citation to be given to the
Dr. Anurag Misra owner of the structure. Certificates of Merit will be awarded to Architect, Structure

Nominations are invited for Outstanding Concrete Structure 2018 fulfilling following
parameters:
I. Entries are invited from Professional bodies, Building Departments of Central
 /State Government, Architects, Structural Consultants / Engineers, Public &
Private Sector organizations, etc. who completed such projects or
developed/adopted innovative technologies during last One year.
II. Structures related to construction of Buildings (Residential, Institutional,
Educational, Industrial, Assembly, Mercantile, Business, Storage, and
Hazardous), Restoration / Rehabilitation of structures, and Infrastructural
projects are eligible to apply under this category.
III. An Organization/Individual may submit only one entry for One structure.
Multiple entries may be submitted by an Organisation/ Individual for
different structures.
IV. The structure shall be complete and should have been occupied for the
purpose.
V. The structure should have outstanding features of structural design and
architectural planning together with aesthetic appeal.
VI. All entries must be supported by necessary design basis reports and if need
arises shall produce design calculations at the time of presentations to jury.
VII. The construction of structure should have involved innovative construction
practices, adopted new concrete materials or used huge volume of concrete
including concepts of Green buildings etc.
VIII. Structure / Individual already awarded by any other agency would not be
considered eligible for these awards.

Details to be Submitted

Entries shall include a project summary of about 1000 words on A-4 size paper
highlighting the element of excellence/innovativeness etc. and clearly indicating the
following:
I. Year of completion of project.
II. Intelligent Building Design features.
III. Green Building concepts adopted highlighting: a) Energy Conservation, b)
Water Management System.
IV. Whether structural designs meet requirements of Earthquake Resistant
Design.
V. Provision of Fire Fighting & Fire Alarm System.
VI. Innovative Technologies & Materials Adopted.
VII. A brief note on contribution of the participant.
VIII. List of other agencies involved & the extent of their involvement

Upon shortlisting, the participant will be required to make a presentation to the

distinguished Jury.

2. Outstanding Concrete Technologist – 2018

This Award is presented every year to an Engineer who has demonstrated

outstanding contributions in the state of Rajasthan as Concrete Technologist. The
award consists of honoring with a Plaque and Citation.
 Eligibility & Selection Criteria

Nominations are invited for Outstanding Concrete Technologist 2018 on the

following parameters:
I. Applicant/Nominee must have demonstrated outstanding contributions in
Concrete & Concrete Technology in the state of Rajasthan.
II. Applicant/Nominee should possess experience of more than 20 years in the
field of Civil Engineering.
III. Applicant/Nominee must have made contributions in R & D work in
development of innovative concrete production and construction.
IV. Involvement of applicant/nominee in promoting good concrete construction
practices.
V. Consultancy projects completed by the applicant/nominee to promote
quality construction and innovative concrete construction practices.
VI. Contributions by the applicant/nominee in inspiring and motivating young
and experienced professional to promote excellence in concrete
construction.
VII. Contributions by the applicant/nominee in concrete related research project,
publications, technical lectures etc.

Details to be Submitted

The nominations with detailed CV mentioning achievements of the candidate as

mentioned in the selection criteria should be sent to the undersigned on or before
Wednesday, October 31, 2018.

3. Outstanding Young Concrete Technologist – 2018

This Award is presented every year to a young engineer who has demonstrated
outstanding work in the state of Rajasthan as Concrete Technologist. The award
consists of a Plaque and Citation.

ELIGIBILITY AND SELECTION CRITERIA

Nominations are invited for Outstanding Young Concrete Technologist 2018 fulfilling
following parameters:
I. Candidate must have demonstrated outstanding contributions in the state of
Rajasthan.
II. Expected age of candidate is 35 Yrs.
III. Candidate should have made contributions in concrete construction, R&D &
Innovations thereon.
IV. Candidate should have been involved in promoting good concrete
 construction practices, Project Consultancy, motivating other young
professionals, etc.
V. Candidate should have made outstanding contributions in concrete related
research project, publications, technical lectures etc.

4. Nominations for the Dream Home Awards - 2018

Nominations are invited for Dream Home 2018. The nominations with detailed write
up, drawings and photographs of the structure should be sent to the undersigned on
or before 31st Oct, 2018.

Eligibility & Selection Criteria

Award consists of a Plaque to be given to the Architect of the Dream Home.

I. The structure shall be completed, ready for use and not be older than one
year.
II. The structure should have outstanding features of structural design,
architectural planning, use of innovative techniques, and aesthetically
pleasing.

5. M Tech Thesis in Cement & Concrete Award - 2018

Nominations are invited from Individuals involved in for M Tech Thesis in Cement &
Concrete for Award 2018. Thesis work should have been conducted in Rajasthan and
submitted/awarded after July 2016. Thesis with publications in reputed national and
international journal will be given preference. The nominations with one copy of
thesis and details of publications/ achievements should be sent to the undersigned
on or before 31 Oct, 2018.

Schedule of Evaluation

1) Receipt of Entries. Entries complete in all respects, as per above

requirements/details should reach ICI Secretariat latest by 31 Oct, 2018.
2) Evaluation of Entries. Entries will be evaluated by a Panel of Jury. In all such
matters decision of constituted jury shall be final.
3) Announcement & presentation of awards. Awards will be presented on
annual ‘Concrete Day’ function celebrated every year in a grand manner at
Jaipur.
