Practicing Coaching & Mentoring
PC&M is a youth mobility project focused on providing you new coaching
and mentoring techniques in order to work more effectively with 
youngsters who are facing fewer opportunities.
 The
      aim
       is
     to   introduce
             you
     a  different
             approach to coaching and mentoring
fewer opportunity youngsters so you know how to engage, challenge
and motivate them to be included in society.
Through PC&M you will have the opportunity to learn more on how to
include youngsters with fewer opportunities in your projects
             &
    activities
       
 using             tools &
       specific    methods.
After the project you will train and educate other  youth         workers
through  workshops
                 in order to improve and gain a variety of skills
which can  be used when working with young people.                                  
              
objectives
To let you define your own coaching method and approach towards
the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities. 

To improve the quality of your organisation in the way that it works


with youngsters. 

To create agogic working methods and implement them while coaching


and mentoring young people with fewer opportunities. 

To disseminate and spread the outcomes of PC&M through mentoring


youngsters in realizing projects. 

To disseminate and spread coaching, mentoring and its methodical


approach through a coaching manual. 
3 phases
PREPARATION cultural map & online preparation
Research of the community to gain a better insight of the working environment
in which the youth workers are operating (social, geographical, economical,
1 traditional and cultural definitions).
Definition of learning goals and competencies regarding work with youngsters,
coaching & mentoring and non-formal education.

TRAINING training
 7 full days of the training introducing different coaching and mentoring
2 techniques and tools through body movement, video, language etc.

POST-TRAINING youth coaching & workshop


Coaching sessions with young people facing fewer opportunities in order
to practice the learnt material and to implement different coaching techniques.
3 Workshops organised by the youth worker and youth organisation for the
volunteers/other youth workers/members of the organisations to present
the learnt material and outcomes gained during the training.

on how to coach the youngsters with fewer opportunities written by Olde Vechte.

20+ years old (no maximum age limit)
Youth worker/active volunteer/member
of the organisations who work directly with
youngsters from 15 to 30 years old
The people with whom they work are to be
considered as youngsters with fewer
opportunities (living in poverty, coming 
from rural areas, long-term unemployed
youngsters, youngsters with social obstacles,
youngsters which are somehow 'stuck in life')
Basic experience and knowledge regarding youth
work and guidance of youngsters
Basic communication skills, conversation

Participants will get a full amount of money in cash at the end of the training.

Netherlands: 0€

participation fee
There is  75€
       participation fee for the training which you can pay from
the reimbursement. 

for example
Marko is traveling from the Czech Republic to Ommen, Netherlands. His travel expenses
are 175€. He will receive 275€ at the end of the training. With 100€ that has left, Marko
can pay the participation fee of 50€.

accommodation

The project takes place in Ommen, the Netherlands


and is organized in and around the group accommodation
of Olde Vechte Foundation which is located within a
walking distance from Ommen city centre.

The sleeping rooms can host from 2 to 6 people and the


showers and toilets are common on the ground floor.
There is a Wi-Fi connection and a washing machine and
 a dryer that you can use. Catering will be provided
by the Foundation.
