L-rods as a
Dowsing Tool
The name L-rod comes from the shape (which looks like
the letter “L”). Another commonly used name for this
tool is angle rod. They can be made of any size,
material, or length, since this does not determine their
effectiveness. There is no “power” in the instrument
itself. Use the tool that is most comfortable for you.
Photographs have been included to clarify the positions
and dowsing responses described on the CD.
Ready Position
Ready Position
The ready response for L-rods starts with your arms
bent, elbows in close to the body. People are
comfortable holding the rods between waist and chest
high. Do what feels right for you. The distance that
your hands will be apart will depend upon the length of
the rods you are using. You’ll want your hands just
close enough together that the ends of the rods will be
able to cross. If you are using the rods included with
this program, the space between your hands will be 10”
-12”. As in the Old West, pretend you are drawing six-
shooter pistols from your holster. Hold the rods level
How the Rods Cross for “Yes” and then tip the ends just slightly downward. If you are
holding the rods at the wrong angle, they will wiggle or
move around in an erroneous response before you
actually begin dowsing.
“Yes” Response
For this type of work, it is recommended that you have
the L-rods cross in front of you like an “X” for your
“yes” response.
“No” Response
For your “no” response, ask that they open outward on
each side.
“No”
Clearing-out Response
Using your dominant arm, hold one L-rod out and away
from your body. Ask to see your clearing-out response.
It should move in a circular motion, either clockwise or
counterclockwise. It makes no difference what direction
it spins, but you want to remember it. (This response is
used to clear or remove harmful or low-frequency
energy.)
Add-in Response
This is a circular motion using one L-rod as for the
clearing-out response. The difference is that it will
move in the opposite direction. Remember the direction
Clearing-out Response or Add-in Response of the spin. It should always remain the same for you.
(This response is used to apply, add, or send energy, to
apply spiritual awareness to yourself and others, and to
“download” information.)
If you have difficulty getting your rods to move, try adjusting your grip (not too tight or tense). Also, check the
position of your thumb. If your thumb is placed at the bend, or the top of the sleeve handle, it can act as a
brake. If your little finger is placed at the bottom of the sleeve handle, it can also act as a brake.
Beginning Dowsing
Prepare yourself first.
Before you begin to dowse, always make sure that you are clear, aligned, and ready to work. If you begin to
dowse in an unbalanced, unclear, upset, or emotional condition, you can expect that your dowsing answers will
be a reflection of your personal lack of clarity and alignment.
It is always a good idea to drink plenty of water before, during, and after dowsing or any type of “energy,”
intuitive, or spiritual work. Drinking water seems to enhance the functioning of the mind, and it may also help
improve the movement of your dowsing instrument.
Before you begin to work, quiet and center yourself. Take at least three deep breaths. Place yourself and others
present in a cone-shaped vortex of light. Ground the bottom point of the vortex into the center of the earth and
open the top to the highest source of light. Next, place the room and building in a vortex of light and then the
property. I like to follow this with prayer and/or meditation. I’ve written out some beautiful prayers on the next
page as suggestions, or feel free to use a prayer that is especially meaningful for you.
PLUG IN
CALL IN
PLUG IN to the highest source of light, also known as God. You may want to visualize a sturdy electric cord
coming from your body. Plug it in and turn on your light. When you take the time to think of God before and
during your work, then your work becomes a way of getting to know God and experiencing God working
through you.
CALL IN assistance and protection from the highest source that you just plugged in to. When I do this, I
immediately feel the presence of angels and masters around me.
Next, you ask yourself if you are ready to work. Skip forward to page 7 for more details.

Am I Ready to Work?
You will want to set up a program for yourself so that if you get a “yes” response to the ready-to-work
question, it will mean that the answer to each of the criteria questions listed below is a “yes” response. If you
get a “no” response to the ready-to-work question, it means that one or more of the list below is out of
alignment. You may be able to have the roadblock cleared just by using the clearing-out response without
further investigation. If not, then you must do your detective work and ask question by question until the
problem area is discovered and realigned. Never continue with your dowsing work until you receive a “yes”
response to the question “Am I ready to work?”
After receiving a “yes” response to “Am I ready to work?,” you are now ready to proceed with the traditional
dowsing questions: CAN I?, MAY I?, and SHOULD I?
♦ CAN I? This refers to ability, knowledge, training, skill, etc. If you get a “no” to this question, it means that
you need more understanding and awareness about the subject before proceeding. You can ask to have the
information “downloaded” to you using the add-in response. If you still get “no,” you will have to take the
time to acquire more knowledge about the subject.
♦ MAY I? Permission is the issue here. A “no” answer may mean that you, or the person you are dowsing for,
has not given permission for the energy to be released. Consciously granting permission may be what is
needed. Another possibility is that someone or something is inappropriately blocking the permission. This
can be dark thought-forms or alliances. Also check to see if the proposed dowsing is both divine will and
divine timing. It may be in alignment with divine will, but permission is blocked because it is not the right
time.
♦ SHOULD I? Integrity is the issue here — yours or someone else’s. The subject might not be appropriate for
you to get involved in. If it is not appropriate, don’t continue! Another possibility is that someone else’s
integrity is the issue. Dark, low-frequency thought-forms or alliances could be involved. In that case, call in
additional divine protection before you continue. You can use the add-in dowsing response, and, when it
stops, recheck to see if you now get a “yes” response.
9

Am I Neutral?
If you are emotional or have a “vested” interest in the subject you are dowsing, your answers will not be
accurate. You may want to ask a friend to dowse on this subject for you. Make sure your friend gets a “yes”
response to all the preparation questions before he or she begins.
CONSEQUENCES CAN BE SERIOUS IF YOU DON’T BOTHER TO ASK THE PREPARATION QUESTIONS OR
IF YOU PROCEED WHEN YOU HAVE RECEIVED A “NO” RESPONSE.
This does not mean that every time you get a “no” response you stop working. It is alerting you to something
that needs to be investigated and addressed as part of your growth and development. Look at it as an
opportunity for advancement. Keep asking more and more questions until you fully understand the situation.
Do your detective work! Ask for divine guidance!
ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT DOWSING SHOULD NEVER BE USED TO CAUSE HARM TO ANY PERSON,
ANIMAL, PLACE, OR ENVIRONMENT, OR TO INVADE ANYONE’S PRIVACY!
Remember that what you are doing requires spiritual teamwork and that you do not do this successfully with
your own power!

In reverse, things can be “cursed” when given in anger, with resentment, or the desire to manipulate or receive a
“pay off.”
Dr. Masaru Emoto, from Japan, that has extensively studied the shapes of water crystals under a microscope.
The photographs published in his book “The Hidden Messages in Water” reveal changes in ice crystals that
Dr. Emoto theorizes are caused when water is exposed to, for example, uplifting words or nasty, hateful words
in many languages. According to Dr. Emoto, low-frequency sounds, thoughts, and words create dark, cloudy,
shattered water crystals and high-frequency sounds, thoughts, and words create lovely crystals in beautiful
snowflake configurations. He says that the two words with the highest vibration are “love” and “thanks” or
“gratitude.”
The following blessing is one that I have often heard and enjoy using.
It is important to be both a gracious giver and a gracious receiver. Have you said: “I can’t accept that gift” or
“Why did you buy that?” or “That’s too expensive!”? When you refuse a gift that is given in love, you spoil the
joy of giving. Feel worthy to be loved, give thanks for gifts, and enjoy both giving and receiving.
You can think of prayers of blessing as having three main components: blessing the giver, the receiver, and its
use.

Ask the angels to remove and appropriately handle all energy that is cleared or released at all times, wherever
you are. Next ask that the energy of love, light, and healing instantaneously replaces all energy removed. Ask
the angels to secure all levels before thought. There are no time and space limits in the unseen world. Ask the
angels to surround, encapsulate, and neutralize all detrimental energies. Always have the angels working with
you when you interact with the unseen world. Remember that they will only work with you when your heart
and intention are pure on the subject.
Always check with dowsing to confirm that your programming is in place. Ask that it remain in place
permanently for as long as it is divine will to be so. It is important that it be permanent except when something
needs to occur for your growth and learning.

You will be clear, prepared, and in an altered state of consciousness when you are dowsing if you use the
method taught here. This allows you to put most of your personal issues aside and perform dowsing work on
yourself from a higher-consciousness perspective. You are working outside of the limitations of your physical
body.
Be sure to complete all the “Preparation to Dowse” steps — summarized on page 9 — before you proceed.
Please note that the “client” mentioned in the questions below is “you” if you are working on yourself.
Also note that except for the question “ABLE?” always make sure that your response is “yes” before you
proceed to the next question!
♦ One: Is the CLIENT’S ENERGY FIELD CLEAR? Is the BODY CLEAR? If “no,” ask the angels to
help. You can use your dowsing clearing-out response and, when complete, recheck for a “yes”
response. If the answer is still “no,” ask if the situation can be corrected by proceeding with the
following clearing work. You would usually get a “yes” response and can then proceed. If the answer
is still “no,” then ask if it is wise and appropriate for you to continue.
♦ Two: Is the ENVIRONMENT CLEAR? Please remember, this is a quick overview and not an in-depth
coverage of the environment clearing. Effectively clearing the environment requires working as a
team with the presiding spirits of the land. I see them as big, abstract, white angels. You will need to
check on the presiding spirits above, on, and below the earth, not just on the surface. Ask “yes” and
“no” questions. Make sure the presiding spirits are clear, expressing light, and able to work with you
as a team to maintain the integrity of the light. If the answer is “no,” ask that they be taken into the
Oneness for cleansing, healing, and protecting with the armor of God. Your dowsing instrument
may do both a clearing-out and add-in response. Also, make sure that you are clear to work with the
presiding spirits and they with you. If not, work in the Oneness with the angels to clear to work
together. If you want to discern more about the reason for the imbalance, you can check the center
(the core or heart of the environment), the boundary (the perimeter), and the gateway (the opening to
come and go). If you locate a problem in any of these areas, ask the angels to help you resolve it.
Your dowsing instrument may do both a clearing-out and add-in response. Always recheck when
finished.

Ask if the client has issues out of alignment in any of the following areas:
♦ Four: Is the client GROUNDED?
♦ Five: Is the client CONNECTED?
♦ Six: Is the client FREE OF BLOCKS and INTERFERENCES?
♦ Seven: Are the client’s POLARITIES and CHAKRAS BALANCED?
♦ Eight: Are the client’s MIND and EMOTIONS IN BALANCE?
♦ Nine: Is the client in BALANCE and HARMONY WITH THE UNIVERSE?
♦ Ten: Is the client UNITED WITH THE ONENESS?
Ask the angels to help you with the clearing, and recheck for a “yes” response.
♦ 11: To know WHOSE ISSUE it is, ask: Is it the CLIENT’S issue alone? Is the client holding
SOMEONE ELSE’S issue? Is it a GROUP issue? Is it a PARTNERSHIP issue? Are all
involved ready to be healed?
If there are some not ready to be healed, ask, Do we need to separate them out for optimum learning?
Ask the angels to help. Use your dowsing instrument (with the add-in response) and add spiritual
awareness for all and then clear any repercussions. Take the issue into the Oneness for regrouping,
repartnering, rebalancing, and aligning. This usually causes your dowsing instrument to move in the
add-in response. When you separated from those not ready for healing, ask the angels to place
healing in the spiritual trust bank account of those not ready, until they are ready.
♦ 12: Are there any IMPOSTERS? Ask the angels to remove them and confirm with dowsing.
♦ 14: Is the client WILLING? If “no,” ask the angels to help and use the clearing-out response.
♦ 15: Is the client ABLE ? If the response is “no,” then revisit the question later as question 32.
♦ 16: Is the client WORTHY? If “no,” ask the angels to help and use the add-in response.
♦ 17: Is the client CERTAIN? (karma) If “no,” ask the angels to help and say the following “Oneness”
prayer three times. “Where there is love, there is light. Where there is light, there is Oneness. We
ignite and expand the highest source of love, wisdom, and power within and around us. Where we
are, Oneness is.”
Recheck with dowsing that the responses to questions 13, 14, 16, and 17 are “yes” before you
continue.
19
D I V I N E D A TA B A S E

♦ 18: Is the GUILT PACKAGE CLEAR? This includes guilt, regret, fear, judgment, shame, and blame.
If “no,” ask the angels to help and wash these off in the Oneness. Your dowsing instrument will use
the add-in response. Recheck when finished.
♦ 19: RECEIVE?
♦ 20 ACTIVATE?
♦ 21: INTEGRATE?
♦ 22: SUSTAIN? If the answer is “no” to any of the above, ask angels to help. Your dowsing instrument
may do both add-in and clearing-out responses. Recheck when finished.
♦ 25: EMBRACING? (soul) If the answer is “no” to any of the above, ask angels to help. Your dowsing
instrument may do both add-in and clearing-out responses. Recheck when finished.
♦ 27: FORGIVENESS? (In all directions: yourself, others harming you, those you’ve harmed, blaming
God)
♦ 28: ALL THAT WERE HARMED ARE HEALED AND RAISED TO A HIGHER
FREQUENCY?
♦ 30: ACCEPTANCE?
♦ 31: DIVINE GRACE? If the answer is “no” to any of the above, ask the angels to help. Your dowsing
instrument may do both add-in and clear-outing responses. Recheck when finished.
20
D I V I N E D A TA B A S E

♦ 32: ABLE? Revisit this question if, when you asked “ABLE?” as question 15, the response was “no.”
(Please remember that with the exception of “ABLE?” always make sure that your response is “yes”
before you proceed to the next question!) If you still get the “no” response, then one or more of the
following four items will need to be cleared:
♦ THOUGHT-FORMS? (Including: curses, hexes, spells, voodoo, binders, implants, etc.)
Check to see if there is a need to CALL IN additional help and protection before you begin.
Ask the angels to take the issue into the Oneness for the thought-forms to be released and
healed for the highest good of all. Your dowsing instrument will usually use the clearing-out
response and then the add-in. Recheck when finished.
♦ ALLIANCES? (Including: contracts, vows, oaths, pledges, agreements, etc.) Ask angels to
complete contracts and render null and void. Next take into the oneness for cleansing and
healing. Ask to keep only those alliances that serve the highest good and purpose. Your
dowsing instrument may use both clearing-out and add-in responses. Recheck when finished.
♦ TRANSFERENCE? (Including: shifting the blame to someone else, mutation, exponential
growth, scapegoat, etc.) Repeat the following three times. “Greater is the light that is in
(name of client), than the darkness of the world.” It is not necessary, but if you are holding a
dowsing instrument while speaking, it will use the add-in response. Recheck when finished.
♦ CONTROL? (Including: someone placing his or her will over your will, manipulation,
passive/aggressive actions, etc.) Repeat the following three times. “Only the highest will be
done in, through, and around (name of client).” Or “Only unconditional love will be expressed
in, through, and around (name of client).” Recheck when finished.
♦ As needed: Ask to INCREASE THE FAITH (Faith in God, faith in nature, faith in man, faith in self).
According to your faith, it is done unto you. Ask the angels to help, and your dowsing instrument will use the
add-in response.
♦ Ask the angels to take the situation into the Oneness for the low-frequency, dark energy to be released and
healed for the highest good of all and to bless and uplift all.
♦ You can use your dowsing instrument and ask the angels to clear residue, pre-existing situations, and the
unmanifested. You can also ask for memory clearing on all levels and for rebalancing and harmonizing.
♦ Use your mind/thoughts to cleanse with a shower of light. I use white, then gold, then a rainbow of light.
Absorb whatever is needed.

Deviceless Dowsing
Over the years, I have seen people use a wide range of unusual objects as dowsing instruments, or tools, in
unique ways. Instruments can be of great assistance in giving us a concrete, visual readout of what is occurring
in the “unseen” world around us. Your own body can also be used as a dowsing instrument. This is what we
call deviceless dowsing. Dowsing functions according to natural law. The subconscious mind always responds
to precise directions that are given to it by the conscious mind. Ego can still destroy your dowsing success, so
prepare for device-less dowsing as you would for dowsing with instruments.
What we call kinesiology is a form of deviceless dowsing. Dr. David Hawkins employs this technique in his
book “Power vs. Force: The Hidden Determinants of Human Behavior” and Nightingale-Conant’s audio
program “The Highest Level of Enlightenment.”
Here are a few of the almost infinite possibilities. You can always ask to adjust the intensity of your response –
either stronger or gentler, as you choose.
Full Body, standing: Stand in a relaxed position with feet shoulder-width apart. Body moves forward when you
ask for a “yes” and backward when you ask for a “no” response.
Full Body, sitting: Sit with your back a little forward in your seat and feet flat on the floor. For the “yes”
response, your body will move forward from the hips, and for “no,” it will move backward.
One Arm Hanging Down: This can be done standing or sitting. Hang one arm down at your side like a limp
rag doll. For the “yes” response, the arm moves forward. For the “no” response, the arm moves backward.
This arm technique can also be used for clearing out energy and adding in energy just like your L-rod. Ask
for a circular arm movement (clockwise and counterclockwise). One direction will be a clearing-out
response and one direction will be an add-in response. Memorize the direction your body moves for each
response.
Eye Blinks: Daniel Wilson, a clergyman in the 18th century, used eye blinks to determine the location of
underground water. He was also known to use them for answering questions. You can do it with your eyes
either open or closed. Ask for a “yes” response, and you get one quick blink. Sometimes the blink occurs so
rapidly that you are just completing forming the question in your mind. The “no” response is multiple eye
blinks (usually 2 or 3).
Fingers, one hand: You can move your index finger over your thumbnail (from back of nail towards the tip). The
“yes” response moves smoothly. The “no” response “sticks.” Some people prefer to use it in reverse so that
the “yes” response is the one that “sticks.”
Fingers, two hands: Form a circle or ring on each hand by touching the tip of the middle finger and the thumb.
Open and interlock the rings together. Intentionally press the fingertips of middle finger and thumb on
each hand tightly together. If the rings can then be pulled apart easily, the answer is “no.” If the rings stay
interlocked when you try to pull them apart, the answer is “yes.”
Hand Dowsing: There are many types of hand-dowsing responses. The hand can be made into a fist with the
thumb sticking out. The thumb automatically points down when the answer is “yes” or you are over the
target area. People often “talk” with their hands. Think of the hand movement that is used when a person
is shooing something away. The hand seems to automatically move out in front as if to sweep the energy
away. Following that style of movement, you can simply put your hand out in front of you and experiment
(maybe privately, at first). This seems to work well as a clearing-out response. Just allow the hand to move
in the air without any restraint or judgment.
