Fault:

FMI 2 Tachograph failure or error between programming device and

tachograph. During the calibration of the tachograph, the ignition was turned
off, the power supply of the tachograph or the programming device was
interrupted. A loss of connection between the tachograph and the
programming device has occurred.

MID 220 PSID 3

Parameter:

Fault:

FMI 2 The tachograph revealed an error of time. The time shown by the
tachograph does not coincide with the real time.

MID 220 PSID 4

Parameter:
Speed signal
Fault:

FMI 2 No speed signal pulses. Oxidized or damaged contacts in the

connectors. An open or short to ground for the signal wire. Power interruption.
Internal error in the input signal from the car control unit Internal error in the
output signal of the tachograph.

MID 220 PSID 6

Parameter:
Speed sensor, communication line
Fault:
FMI 2 Communication error between the tachograph unit (connector B3) and
the speed sensor. An open or short circuit between the speed sensor and the
tachograph, the contacts in the speed sensor or tachograph connector are
oxidized or damaged, the speed sensor is faulty.

FMI 9 Communication error between the tachograph unit (connector B4) and
the speed sensor. An open or short circuit between the speed sensor and the
tachograph, the contacts in the speed sensor or tachograph connector are
oxidized or damaged, the speed sensor is faulty.

FMI 12 Speed sensor defective.

FMI 14 Communication error between the tachograph unit and the speed
sensor. Missing or invalid pulse from the speed sensor. Open or short circuit
between the speed sensor and tachograph, the contacts in the speed sensor or
tachograph connector are oxidized or damaged, the speed sensor is faulty, the
gear wheel in the transmission is damaged.

MID 220 PSID 7

Parameter:
Tachograph buttons
Fault:

FMI 7 One or more buttons on the tachograph panel stuck or was pressed for
more than 3 minutes.

MID 220 PSID 8

Parameter:
Print device
Fault:

FMI 12 Faulty power source for the print device inside the tachograph or the
temperature of the head of the print device is out of the set limits. Wait a while
for the head to cool. Restart the print device by disconnecting it from the
power supply (A1 connector).

FMI 14 The printout is out of paper.

MID 220 PSID 9

Parameter:
