Open Applications: Spring 2019 YSEALI Academic and Professional Fellowship Programs
We hope that this message finds you well. Along with all the U.S. Embassy staff
across Indonesia, we want to express our condolences to the families and
communities affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Central Sulawesi.
Academic Fellows
o Eligible to receive a United States J-1 visa (A J-1 visa is for individuals
approved to participate in work-and study-based exchange visitor programs.
As part of the J-1 visa, you are required to adhere to a two-year Foreign
Residency Requirement. This means you will be required to reside in your home
country for a period of two years before taking part in a similar program).
Selection Criteria
Applicants should:
• Preferably have little or no prior study or travel experience in the United States.
How to Apply:
• The application deadline for the Spring 2019 YSEALI Academic Fellows
program is October 25th, 2018 (01:00 p.m. / 13:00 WIB)
Professional Fellows
YSEALIs aged 25 – 35
• Emerging leaders in government, civil society, or the private sector who have
demonstrated expertise pertaining to the respective theme;
Please only apply to one program; only one application per person will be
accepted.
