MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

BETWEEN Erica Jackson

AND Jacquelyn Shaia

1. Parties. This Memorandum of Understanding (hereinafter referred to as “MOU”) is

made and entered into by and between the Jacquelyn Shaia, and Erica Jackson.

2. Purpose. The purpose of this MOU is to establish the terms and conditions under

which iN5 will handle a campaign for the Birmingham Art Crawl to raise attendance and

increase the number of volunteers helping the agency.

3. Term of MOU. This MOU is effective upon the day and date last signed and executed

by the duly authorized representatives of the parties to this MOU and the governing bodies of the

parties’ respective counties or municipalities and shall remain in full force and effect for not

longer than 120 days. This MOU may be terminated, without cause, by either party upon 30 days

written notice, which notice shall be delivered by hand or by certified mail to the address listed

above.

4. Responsibilities of [Erica Jackson].

 Volunteer Recruitment

o Erica Jackson will handle reserving the location of Railroad Park for one

of the events as well as recording and analyzing data to measure for

success. Erica will also make fliers for volunteers to pick up at the events

and also others available for future artists. Erica Jackson will reach out to

the Samford University Art Department to recruit more volunteers and

also new artists. These methods can be measured by how many new

volunteers join the Art Crawl compared to how many are currently

involved.
 Raising Awareness

o Erica Jackson will be in charge of Twitter posts along with Daniela Del

Castillo and Justin Jones to both promote the event and day of postings.

Erica Jackson and Daniela Del Castillo will also make a Facebook event

for the social media campaign. Erica Jackson will write a feature article

for PopWrapped.com to promote the Birmingham Art Crawl and it will be

published on February 1st and shared as much as possible on Social Media.

Erica Jackson will also use the flyer of iN5’s choice to submit to UAB

Hospital’s Monday Mailing Program along with a separate one for the

social media campaign closer to the day it will occur. Erica will also hang

fliers throughout the UAB Hospital campus. iN5 will create a media kit in

order to promote the Birmingham Art Crawl’s move to a new location in

March and Erica Jackson will compose the new story to be included. All

of these things will be measured through social media shares and clicks

along with turnout at the Art Crawl, itself. Success will be measured by a

rise in likes on the Art Crawl’s Facebook page. iN5’s media kit success

will be measured by whether or not the media shows up to cover the first

Art Crawl in the new location.

 Recruit and Maintain Sponsors

o Erica Jackson will take the official thank you letters or letters requesting

sponsorship and hand write them to give them the personal touch along

with the other group members. This will be measured by how many of the

sponsors choose to stay and also join in support of the Art Crawl.
 6. Signatures. In witness whereof, the parties to this MOU through their duly authorized

representatives have executed this MOU on the days and dates set out below, and certify that

they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions of this MOU as set forth

herein. The effective date of this MOU is the date of the signature last affixed to this page.
