YOUR BLOOD, PROOF OF LOVE FOR OTHERS

On Wednesday (31/1) state 5 vocational high school bandung (SMKN 5) held a blood donation
activity, On Bojongkoneng Street No.37A Bandung. Interestingly, this activity is organized by
students who are members of the Red Cross teenage (PMR) 5 vocational high school bandung.
They cooperate with PMI bandung.

Almost all committees are students. The purpose of blood donation is to encourage students to
do social service and help their fellow human beings.
“These students are currently staging a blood donation so they understand will care about
fellow human beings”, said the principal Mrs. Rini Ambarwati in his speech.
The activity titled "Your Blood is a proof of love for others" besides followed by 11th and 12th
graders who were 17 years old also attended by residents around 5 vocational high school
bandung.
Last year also held a blood donation activity in the 5 vocational high school bandung.
“I have done 2 time blood donors at this school, precisely in the past year also now” said Mr
Yusman as a technical drawing teacher as well as administrative staff in the field of student
affairs.
However, it does not reduce the enthusiasm, interest and awareness of 5 vocational high school
bandung residents to help others, one of the causes is the pre-event publication is very
encouraged since a few days earlier. Even at the time of the event can still be done by way of
announcements to the classes. It turns out that way quite succeeded in attracting interest Smk
5 bandung because not only students and also teachers and employees participated donated
blood.
Many students are interested in following blood donation activities. some of which failed to
implement donors because they did not meet the requirements. the requirements for blood
donors are 17-65 years, blood pressure 110-14-mmHB, and a minimum of 110 hemoglobin
levels.
“I want to follow a blood donor, but homoglobin levels do not meet the criteria.” said gita 12th
grade chemistry analyst with a disappointed tone.
The donated blood will be tested for whether the virus is free or not, including tests for HIV /
AIDS, B & C hepatitis, syphilis and West Nile virus. If the blood is found in these viruses, then
this donated blood will be destroyed. Blood can also get infected from the virus. Some blood
components are also tested from bacterial attacks.
Sometimes people who donate blood know about some minor side effects such as nausea,
dizziness, dizziness or fainting, but these symptoms usually disappear quickly.
“this blood donation program is expected to shape concern for others. students need to be
trained to have concern for others in order to have a better morale.”-said Mrs.rini ambarwati
