Summary of the Lesson Students will learn about the SIOP Process.
They will learn about comprehensible input,
what it is, and how to implement it into their
classroom.

Objectives The students of Miss Septer, Miss Cieszko,
and Miss Gold’s class will be able to:
1. Explore techniques for presenting content
information in ways that the students
comprehend.

2. Review various ways to model and provide


directions for academic tasks.

3. Discuss modifications to teacher speech


that can increase student comprehension.

4. Write the steps needed for students to


perform an academic task and have a partner
perform each step.

After receiving a 50-minute lesson with an


80% accuracy.

Procedure BEFORE:
· The class will all be together in one
Conditions of Learning (Robert Gagne) group.
· The objectives for the lesson will be
Modes of Learning (D. Rumelhart & D. introduced.
Norman) · Background knowledge will be given to
the students.
· A video will be shown to better explain
what they will be learning about.
DURING:
· Students will break into three groups.
· Each group will move from station to
station to learn about Features 10, 11, and
12.
AFTER:
· The entire group will come back
together.
· A Kahoot will be used to assess the
students’ knowledge.

Formative Assessment 3-2-1 Exit Ticket

Student Resources Notes handouts based on the PowerPoint


and lecture will be given to the students.

Accommodations Accommodations will be made for students


as needed, based on his or her IEP.

Assessment Students will be assessed with a Kahoot at


the end of the lesson.
