3 3.2 3.24 NAUTIC 18 BB] orrsOre QUALITY ASSURANCE AND CONTROL Quality Assurance With the suggested grout material being an off the shelf product, which undergoes extensive QA/QC testing before it leaves the plant, documentation of the product can be provided without carrying out extensive testing, Suggested products are premixed and ready {0 use as grouting solutions. Hence, it save client’s time and money spent on rigorous mix design process for grout made using conventional API Class G cement. This rigorous mix design process makes conventional grouts inconsistent in their performance from batch to batch ‘Taking into account the properties of NaX, continuous monitoring of density is not required on site during grouting, Likewise the strength devclopment of grout is found to be well documented from specimens cast on site during previous offshore projects and it is evident that the strength requitements are easily fulfilled as 40% to 50% of the 28-day strength of the grout is achieved in less than 24 hours, Hence, it may for those reasons be reasonable to exclude extensive on site testing of the compressive strength and only prepare 3 (Three) sets of cubes for each duration of testing (1, 3, 7 and 28 days) for each Jacket leg for QA/QC offshorc/onshore test. Nautic will provide mobile offshore testing laboratory for short term tests and carry out long term tests at accredited testing laboratories in Singapore. In addition to the casting of cubes for test of compressive strength, QA/QC documents will be prepared and recorded for each sampling set, including temperature, density, grouting date and start and stop time, sample name and markings and deviation from the recommended amount of water added i.e. volume and reason for adding. Nautic is able to provide a mobile offshore laboratory for the purpose of conducting on- site testing, Our mobile offshore laboratory is fully equipped 2,000KN capacity compressive strength tester and a temperature controlled curing tub. In addition, it is also equipped with a vibrating table, work bench, temperature probes, weighing scales, portable slump cone test set, digital calliper, 60 nos. of 30mm 3-gang, cube moulds, a 2L capacity unit weight measure and a SL capacity portable paddie-pan mixer. Our mobile offshore laboratory is fully enclosed and air-conditioned for climate control. On-site testing can be performed for typical cube ages of 1 day, 3 days, 7 days and 28 days, However, due to time constraints, it is envisaged that for 28-day cubes of tripod, onshore testing will be needed. Quality Control Preparation of grout Material Prior to batching of UHPC grout, ensure feeder silos to be used have sufficient volume to have continuous grouting operation. If the silo has low volume, refill from another silo using air transfer. Continuous access to potable water is very important for mixing of the grout material in order to avoid delay. Client is required to provide potable water for the grouting work Fresh water is to be supplied into a minimum 1800L tank (10 be supplied by Nautic) from which the water dosage pump will draw water (to be supplied by Nautic). {Becha.”!hoiet ono | NAUTIC 16 © OFFSHORE ‘The mixing ratio of water to NaX Q110 is found in Appendix A ~ Mixing Procedure, Due to the high ambient temperature condition, it can be expected that extra water will be added in order 10 ensure the right viscosity of the grout under the discretion of the Grouting Supervisor. Quality control documents can be found in Appendix B. aoa (3.2.2) Moulds for Test Cubes = ~~ ‘Thirty-six (36) nos, offS0 x 50 x 50mm test cube mould>will be prepared for casting of , ‘each groutedjacketJeg taken at the start, middle and end stages of the grouting, ‘Three (3) numbers of cubes for testing (1, 3, 7 and 28 days) for each slage (start, middle, end) for each jacket Jeg. An additional three numbers of cubes for each stage will be cast for spates. Hence, there will bea total of forty five (45) cube specimens for each jacket leg 3.3 Acceptance Criteria ‘The acceptance criterion for the grouting work is by the complete filling of the jacket legs with NaX Q110, when fresh grout starts coming out and fills the top of the leg/ cone of skirt pile sleeve, ‘The complete grout filling of the jacket legs is verified by grout overflow which will be monitored by ROV and Client's representative at site thru video feed. Jn addition, the pumped volume will be monitored and compared with the theoretical grout volume, ‘The grouting of the jacket legs shall be carried out in one continuous operation as required. 3.4 Grout Strength Verification Verification of grout material strength will be done by crushing of test cubes which will be cast from grout material mix samples. All cubes will be clearly labelled by Jacket Leg ID, Cube ID and time/date of casting, ‘The cubes can be de-moulded after 24 hours, ‘The de-moulded cubes will then be stored in accordance with ASTM C1019 which requires the use of either a damp storage cabinet or water storage tank conforming to ASTM C511 with controlled and maintained temperature of 23°C (#2°C). Nautic will provide mobile offshore testing laboratory for short term tests and carry out Jong term. tests at an accredited testing laboratory in Singapore, usually performed at Setsco Services. Test specimens shall be couriered in containers designed for the purpose, yl Comnmet —— .
