 May not be safe for small children. To childproof this toy, eliminate
the glue-on wiggle eyes and embroider the eyes with black embroidery
floss.

Head:
With Pastel Green Yarn, Ch 2
Rnd 1: Work 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook = 5 sc
Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each sc = 10 sc
Rnd 3: *Sc in first sc, 2 sc in 2nd sc*, repeat from * around = 15 sc
Rnd 4: *Sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat from * around = 20 sc
Rnd 5: *Sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat from * around = 25 sc
Rnd 6: *Sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat from * around = 30 sc
Rnd 7: *Sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat from * around = 35 sc
Rnds 8-11: Sc in each sc around
Rnd 12: *Sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat from * around = 40 sc

Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. You will use this piece of yarn to
sew the head on to the body. Stuff head firmly, do not sew opening closed.

Eyes: (Make 2)
With White Yarn, Ch 2
Rnd 1: Work 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook = 5 sc
Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each sc = 10 sc
Rnd 3: *Sc in first sc, 2 sc in 2nd sc*, repeat from * around = 15 sc
Rnd 4: *Sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat from * around = 20 sc
Rnd 5: *Sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat from * around = 25 sc
Rnds 6-8: Sc in each sc
Rnd 9: *Sc in next 3 sc, sc 2tog*, repeat from * around = 20 sc
Fasten off.

Assembling The Head:

1. Stuff eyes firmly.
2. Position and sew eyes on top of head.
TIP: Slightly flatten the crocheted eyes after sewing on head and before
gluing the wiggle eyes,
3. Thread black embroidery floss and sew mouth in a “V”.
4. Glue wiggle eyes on crocheted eye piece, allow to dry. Or if this toy is
for a small child, embroider the eyes with black embroidery floss.
5. Using a cotton swab, apply face blush on cheeks.

Head is done.

Body:
With White Yarn, Ch 2
Rnd 1: Work 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook = 5 sc
Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each sc = 10 sc
Rnd 3: *Sc in first sc, 2 sc in 2nd sc*, repeat from * around = 15 sc
Rnd 4: *Sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat from * around = 20 sc
Rnd 5: *Sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat from * around = 25 sc
Rnd 6: *Sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat from * around = 30 sc
Rnds 7-11: Sc in each sc around
Rnd 12: *Sc in next 4 sc, sc 2tog*, repeat from * around = 25 sc
Rnd 13: *Sc in next 3 sc, sc 2tog*, repeat from * around = 20 sc
Rnd 14: *Sc in next 2 sc, sc 2tog*, repeat from * around = 15 sc
Fasten off, leaving a tail long enough for sewing. Stuff body and sew
opening closed. This will be the bottom of the body. Weave in yarn.

Thread needle with piece of yarn from head and sew head on body. Weave in
yarn.

Arms: (Make 2)
With Pastel Green Yarn, Ch 2
Rnd 1: Work 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook = 5 sc
Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each sc around = 10 sc
Rnd 3-7: Sc in each sc around
Fasten off, leaving a tail long enough for sewing. Stuff arms lightly. Sew
arms on top sides of body. Weave in yarn.

Legs: (Make 2)
Ch 2
Rnd 1: Work 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook = 5 sc
Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each sc around = 10 sc
Rnd 3-5: Sc in each sc around
Fasten off, leaving a tail long enough for sewing. Do not stuff legs. Sew legs
on sides of body. Weave in yarn.

Keroppi is Done and measures 4-1/2” tall.
