PROJECT PAPER TIMELINE FOR

SEMESTER SEPTEMBER ACADEMIC SESSION 2018/2019


MALAYSIAN GRADUATE SCHOOL OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP & BUSINESS (MGSEB)

Student conducting the study
09.09.2018  Students are required to discuss with their respective supervisor regarding the
(Sunday)- study 13 weeks
08.12.2018(Tuesday)  The students are required to complete their writings for all chapters, as to
prepare for the presentation
Presentation of Project Paper
 The students are required to present their research before the panels for
evaluations
09.12.2018(Sunday) 1 Day
 The presentation must cover all aspects involved in the study within 20 minutes
(maximum)
 The presentation of the research will carry 10% of total marks for the paper
Thesis improvements
10.12.2018 (Monday)
 Students are required to make improvements and changes as per mentioned by
- 25.12.2018 16 days
the panels during the presentation, subjected to the discussion with the
(Tuesday)
supervisor

 The Project Paper must receive the approval for submission from the respective
supervisor prior to submission to MGSEB.
 The submission must contain the following details:-
o Name
o Matric number
o Tittle of the Project Paper
o Supervisor’s name
 Students are required to submit the Final Project Paper as per details below:
o For City Campus
 Venue: MGSEB UMK City Campus
 1 copy unbind & clipped
 2 copies of soft bound
 1 copy of TurnItIn slip

o For Kuala Lumpur & Kuching Campus


26.12.2018  1 copy of TurnItIn slip
(Wednesday) –  Softcopy of the Final Project Paper in pdf format must be sent 5 Days
30.12.2018 (Sunday) through email to:
 mgseb@umk.edu.my

 NOTE: As for TurnItIn:


 The similarity index must be 25% or below. If it is more than
25%, amendments are necessary and need to be done by the
student, within the stipulated time period, prior to submission
to MGSEB.
 The process of similarity checking must be done by the
student him/herself, through the respective supervisor.
 The similarity index report must be ratified by UMK library.

 The students will be given feedback for the format of the thesis in this period for
improvements, prior to the submission of final hardbound copies
 The students will be given a letter of permission to bind by the Administration
staff once all the formatting part of the thesis are as accordance to the standard
of format for thesis.
31.12.2018 (Monday) Improvement format thesis
- 13.01.2019 14 Days
(Monday)
Hardcover final submission
 Students must submit the final copies of the thesis BEFORE OR ON THIS
DATE, which should consist of:
o 3 copies of hardcover bound thesis
o 2 copies of softcopy of the thesis, which is burn into Compact Disc
(CD)
14.01.2019 (Monday)  NOTE: The format of the cover for the CD will be emailed
1 Day
 Failure to submit the final copies of hardcover bind thesis and CD will resulted
in failure of the subject
 Submission should be made to MGSEB office, as per below:
o City Campus
 MGSEB UMK City Campus
o Kuala Lumpur & Kuching
 Will be informed later

NOTE:
*Substitution of supervisor is only allowed if the application for the substitution of supervisor is approved by
MGSEB’s Dean
*Failure to comply with the above instructions will give negative effect to the overall result of the Final Project
Paper
*This timeline are subjected to further changes
