Principal Dr. V.M. Ingavale was awarded the D.G.

Samant
Best Teacher Award from Shailendra Education Society.
Dr. Kanchan. Dutt Passed successfully her Ph.D. Viva Voce
Examination on 8 July 2009. She was awarded Ph.D. on her
thesis entitled “Analytical Study of Export Marketing of
Agricultural Goods from India since Post Liberalization Period
with Special Reference to Tea” from the SNDT University,
Mumbai.
 Dr. Bhavana. Trivedi Completed Ph.D. in Rural Development
(Arts) on the topic “Rural Development in the Post IRDP
Era(1997-2006) : A Case study of Vasai Taluka, Dist. Thane.”

Our students participated in various intercollegiate


competitions and won several prizes. Following are the
details of the different competitions :
 Year 2007-08
1. Mr. Vincent D’cruz, Deepika Vishwasrao, Pooja
Kadam and Pravin Kadu of T.Y.B.A won first prize in “De
Dana Dan” programme conducted by “Me Marathi TV
Channel”.

2. Mr. Ravi Poojari & Mr. Yash Sadgar of F.Y.BBI


won First prize in “Royal Rubiks” debate competition
held by Royal College of Arts, Science & Commerce.

3. The college secured Second prize in Group


dance and fashion show competitions in Aroma
intercollegiate festival held by Shailendra Degree
College. College also won several prizes in Aarti thali
making, Rangoli competition & Tattoo making
competion in Aroma intercollegiate festival.

4. Sonu Vishvakarma of S.Y.B.Com (B & I) student


won record prize in T-shirt painting competition held by
Bhavans College.
5. The college secured Third prize in Western
group dance competition held by KES College.

 Students of F.Y.B.Com(B&I) won First prize in


presentation competition at Gyan-manthan of Royal
College, Mira Road. Students participated in PRAVAAH &
one day seminar of N.K. College, BI-WHIZ of S.I.W.S
College, Wadala. They won prizes in Funfair, Khana-
khazana and Annual Gathering.

 The Marathi one-act play ‘Age of the Edge’ written by


Ambar Hadap, directed by Ganesh Pandit was performed
in Umbartha, Amrutkumbh, Antarang & Sakal
competitions. The play revolves round the plot of
juvenile delinquency. Actor Swapnil Takle was praised by
everyone for his brilliant performance and secured the
prizes for ‘Best Actor’ in many competitions. The play
swept all the prizes in Antarang competition & qualified
for Sawai competition

 Year 2008-09
 Throughout the year students participated in various
intercollegiate competitions and won several prizes. This
year our folk dance team reached the final round of
prestigious youth festival competition conducted by the
University of Mumbai. Following are the details of the
different competitions :-

 Ms. Martina M. Fernandes of FYBCom won the third prize in


Mehendi competition conducted by Nagindas Khandwala
College of Arts, Commerce and Science.

 Ms. Anita Tripathi of SYBA won the third prize in essay


writing competition held by Kirti M. Doongursee College
(Dadar).
 The college secured the first prize in dance and second prize
in fashion show competitions in Aroma intercollegiate
festival held by Shailendra Degree College. The College also
won several prizes in Khana-Khazana, Rangoli and sports
competition in Aroma intercollegiate festival.

 The process of development results in disharmony with


nature & finally nature overpowers man. Darshan Mali from
FYBA was the lead cast riding the ‘Waves’ represented by
the FYBMS & B & I & B.A. students. The play reached the
secured a consolation prize.
 Year 2009-10
1) Our college team won the first prize in ‘Mataforia
Competion’ conducted by
Dahanukar College, Vile Parle.

2) Ms. Martina M.Fernandes of SYBCOM won the third prize


in a “Mehendi Competition” conducted by
Ghanshyamadas Saraf Girls College, Malad.

3) Mr. Yogesh Namjoshi of SYBCOM won the third prize in a


“Singing Completion” held by Ghanshyamdas Saraf Girls ,
College, Malad and first prize ‘’Anurag 2010” conducted
by J.M.Patel College, Goregaon.

4) Ms. Viral Raiyani of FYBCOM won the second prize in the


Tenth “Book Review Competion” conducted by J.M.Patel
College, Goregaon.

5) Ms. Rashmita Chauhan of SYBCom, Ms. Preeti


Vishwakarma of SYBCom and Mr. Narayan Wanshikumar
V. Sawant of TYBBI won the first prize in an
“Intercollegiate Statistical Data Presentation
Competition,” conducted by J.M.Patel College, Goregaon.

6) Mr. Ravi Pujari, Mr. Gaurang Rane and Mr. Gaurish Shenoy
of TYBBI won the third prize in an “Intercollegiate
Statistical Data Presentation Competition” conducted by
J.M.Patel College, Goregaon.
7) The college secured the first prize in both Group Dance
and Fashion Show Competitions in Aroma Intercollegiate
Festival held by Shailendra Degree College, College also
won several prizes in Khana Kazana, Rangoli and Sports
Competitions in the Aroma Intercollegiate Festival.
