iNTRODuCTiON
Established in accordance with the Industrial Development Act, the Korea Construction
Equipment Manufacturers Association(KOCEMA)’s goal is to promote and support the con-
struction equipment industry and foster friendly relations and synergies among our members
to contribute to the sound growth of the industry as well as to the enhancement and develop-
ment of our national economy.
KOCEMA presently represents 210 leading companies manufacturing various construction
equipment, attachment and spare parts.

The most important and challenging mission of KOCEMA has been is to help businesses
improvement and international competitiveness, so that Korea can be among the global top
three in the construction equipment industry.

To ensure sustained technological competitiveness, KOCEMA is operating KOCERI(Korea

Construction Equipment Research Institute). We also run the construction equipment tech-
nology forum, a technical support group to promote research and development in small- and
medium-sized manufacturing enterprises. As a cooperating organization for standards devel-
opment(COSD), we are making continued efforts to create and streamline national standards
and to promote them as global standards.

To foster successful marketing, we support participation of our members in international

exhibition and overseas exports consortium marketing development, while organizing the
“Korea International Construction Equipment Exhibition”(Conex Korea)every two years. Also,
we are also actively engaged in joint purchasing of steel products and MRO operations, to help
improve the product quality and cost competitiveness of our members.
