STUDENTS GUIDE

Introduction

This learning module is prepared to help students plan their learning to make it more
effective. This module allows students to get information and the latest learning
styles.

Self-directed Learning

Self-directed learning enables students to decide on the learning that they are going
to do. Self-directed learning will be more effective if the students could identify their
own personal objectives. This is to encourage students to have learner autonomy
and be responsible on their own learning.

Target Group

Students of Post Degree Diploma in Education (PDPLI SM/SR) registered with

Institutes of Teachers Education, Ministry of Education Malaysia (IPG KPM).

Students Learning Time (SLT)

Based on standards set by IPG KPM and MQA students need to accumulate 40
learning hours for each credit hour. For PDPLI SM/SR course carried out during
school holidays (KDC) the allocation is 60% of the Learning Hours for face-to-face
interactions while 40% is for learning on their own.
