Thesc Roxes are strong and accurate tools, though Dot having all the refinements
of tlde Slanhy Mitre Boxcs,
They are nlade with two styles of Sary Guides as explained below, and with either
style a pane! saw car1 be used eqrrally ars well as a back sa1v.
'fhe Boxes are priced both with aqd without sarv, and different nurubets are used to
show whether or not a saw is firrnished (see table).
Nos. 60 and 60 have roller Saw Guides (see cut of part No. 136 iq upper left hand corf,er
afillustrationotrpage34). Theyhavebeenlongandfavorablyknowual<lareuowrnad.e
with several improsements.
Nos. 50ye and 60% have flat-faced Sew Guides, as shorvn in cut above.
Both_Boxes_have_back, frarne, indexed quadrant atd swivel arm bearing in one piee,
accurately machined. The quadrant is indexed for cuttiug 4, 5, 6, 8, 12, and 24-sided pieces.
The srvivel arm can be locked at any point desired between zero and 45 degrees.
The saw guide uprights are securely clamped in the sockets in the swivel and can be
adjusted to hold the saw without side play, thus insuring great accuracy in working.
Movable stops are attached to the saw guide uprights permittiug the saw to cut only
to the desired depth.
?o use a panel saw in the No.50, change into the lou,er groove, the insefted plate which
connects the back ro1ler saw guides, and the blade of the saw will be stifry supported
by both sets of rollers and dothe work ofaback saw. To use a panel-sawinthe
No. 50ys, (see cut above) put a nail through the two smal1 holes near the top of the rear
saw guide to keep the saw in place.
