The veneration of the relics of saints reminds us that the Church is a communion of The procession enters the church to the ‘Fanfare for the Common Man’

Blessing & Sprinkling of Water


As I kneel before you,
Archbishop: Brothers and sisters in Christ, in this solemn rite of as I bow my head in prayer,
dedication, let us ask the Lord God to bless this water take this day, make it yours
created by his hand. and fill me with your love.
It is a sign of our repentance, a reminder of our baptism,
and a symbol of the cleansing of these walls and this altar.
May the grace of God help us to remain faithful members Ave Maria, gratia plena,
of his Church, open to the Spirit we have received. Dominus tecum, benedicta tu.

After a few moments of silent prayer, the Archbishop continues:


All I have I give you,
God of mercy, you call every creature to the light of life, ev’ry dream and wish are yours,

The deacon brings the relics to the Archbishop, who places them in the altar.
Prayer of Dedication Archbishop: The mystery of faith:
Archbishop: Father in heaven, source of holiness and true purpose,
it is right that we praise and glorify your name. Please join in singing the Memorial Acclamation:
For today we come before you,
to dedicate to your lasting service All: O, come let us adore Him ,
this house of prayer, this temple of worship, O, come let us adore Him,
this home in which we are nourished by your word O, come let us adore Him ,

Here is reflected the mystery of the Church.
The Church is fruitful, made holy by the blood of Christ: All Therefore, O Lord, as we celebrate the memorial

resound through heaven and earth
as a plea for the world’s salvation.

Archbishop: You are indeed Holy, O Lord, clothed with the dignity of the children of God,

Archbishop: We now anoint this altar and this building.

The Archbishop anoints the altar and the walls of the church with
