Nitrogen Generator
During the previous meeting last June 21, 2018, it was agreed that
IPI will purchase FAVI second hand generator. To date, IPI have on-
going technical queries to both vendors, FAVI and Gemsun. The
following concerns are highlighted during discussion:

FAVI insist rotary air compressor will have oil breakthrough to the
nitrogen generator so a dessicant drier must be used. However,
based on IPI's experience, dessicant drier is expensive due to
frequent replacement.

On the other hand, Gemsun recommends use of refrigerated drier

and insist that no problem will be encountered. Also, Gemsun
explained that oil less compressor may be purchased.

Concerns:
1. IPI is worried of the compatibility of bolts and gaskets to pipes

2. According to IPI Procurement, vendors find it difficult to quote
items described technically. Thus, most of the time they indicate
these items as "no quote".

Bioderm Mixing Tank (PK4-2296)

a. Agitator
IPI approved PTI's proposal of using a different type of agitator
that is better for mixing highly viscous fluid. It also provides good
circulation flow that helps in emptying the tank. See attached
picture below for the suggested agitator.

b. Ointment outlet
IPI did not approve PTI's proposal to provide heat tracing for
the ointment outlet of PK4-2296 to prevent possible clogging in the
pipeline going to P4-2441 Bioderm Scew Pump 1. Main concern is
the ointment's exposure to heat during the transfer from mixing to
the screw pump (1.2 meters pipe length) which is not allowed by
IPI Manufacturing.

Nonetheless, it was agreed to increase outlet size from DN25

to DN100. Also, the screw pump will be elevated and directly
positioned under the tank. Screw pump's vacuum effect will aid
drawing out bioderm from tank.

c. Ointment testing
PTI proposed sampling after pumping the product for quality
checking. This was approved by IPI.

Whitfield Final Mixing Tank (PK4-2324) and Whitfield

PTI highlighted that outlet of Whitfield Final Mixing Tank

(PK4-2324) and Whitfield Holding Tank (PK4-2304) is lower than
the suction of P4-2440 Whitfield's, Sulfur & Burn Ointment Screw
Pump 3. To eliminate problem in discharging, PTI recommended to
elevate tanks like the set-up of Bioderm tanks. Also, the outlet size
of tanks will be changed from DN25 to DN100.

Both tanks will have same agitator design as Bioderm Mixing

b. Since size of tanks is larger than the container, tanks will be
delivered as loose cargo
c. MetSal tanks will increase capacity to 40 MT
Pipes shall be made of PP as per IPI engineering's preference.

MetSal unloading pumps shall be pneumatic diaphragm pump with

wetted part made of PP material. Instead of using one pump with
20 m³/hr capacity, use 4 service pumps with 2 spare pumps with 5
m³/hr capacity each.

DESCRIPTIONS
Metsal distribution pump shall be centrifugal type made of
aluminum material for wetted part.

Loading system shall be pedal-operated pneumatic system while

drum positioning will be manually done using turning table.
During previous meeting, Paragsa proposed use of CPS since
clashing of raw water day tanks structure and HVAC equipment
was observed. However, pump required has a rating 62.5 hp. The
rating is too high. Thus, use of CPS is impractical and disapproved.

Raw water day tanks shall be gravity-type. The structure shall be

moved near the stairs to elliminate clashing with HVAC.

PTI presented findings during inspection of 21 soapery pumps at

Tingub site. Deviations from vendor's quotation and actual pumps
delivered on-site were observed such as motor rating, motor
speed, inlet/outlet size.

PTI presented findings during inspection of four (4) locally

fabricated tanks. Deviations from the GA drawing and fabricated
tanks were observed.

Revise inlet nozzle (N2 &N3) design. Extend length of nozzle up to
200mm from bottom TL to prevent splashing.
IPI encountered water in LMO due to moisture in air. While
withdrawing the LMO, air is drawn in. As countermeasure, IPI
looked for filter. However, PTI recommends nitrogen blanketing to
displace air inside LMO tanks.

Based on the meeting last June 21, nitrogen generator for Pharma
and Tank farm was put on hold since IPI wants to assess first the
performance of FAVI second hand generator. However, based on
today's meeting, IPI decided to purchase Gemsun nitrogen
generator instead. With IPI Engineering's recommendation, PTI will
proceed on datasheet making for Pharma plant and tank farm.

Benzyran: Design of one (1) mixing tank (200L) and one (1)
holding tank (200L). The mixing tank is strongly desired to have a
detachable agitator to facilitate q.s. addition without interruption.

Salicylic Acid: Preferrably, one (1) mixing tank (500L) should have
a detachable agitator. Also, two (2) holding tanks (500L) is
required for a smoother flow of intermediate steps from
compounding to filling.

RFIs generated will tag the concerned department in the written

email.

Materials suspected to be air sensitive will undergo test.

Data gathering specifying hardness will be performed by a third
party. Preferably Brinell hardness test.
Humidity of areas where camphor blocks are stored will be
recorded.
Production forecast is required to align with the air compressor
design.
Identification of areas requiring exhaust, blower/fans and natural
exhaust pipes is required for the design.
Mid-level automation is desired for instrumentation and controls
