Tips and tricks - Silres BS 6920

1. 1. 2 coats is recommended for smooth and even surface.

- first coat 50 - 100 g/m2
- allow to dry for 3-4 hours before 2nd coat.
- 2nd coat – 20 – 50 g/m2
2. 2. Coating - Touch dry is about 3-4 hours, full cure about 7 days.
Surface can be walked on after 24 hours.
3. 3. If applied too thick, hair line cracks may appear.
4. 4. To ensure even coating, recommended roller (short nip of 4mm)
OR apply by Sponge wipe.
5. 5. BS6920 will darken the substrate color due to penetration into substrate
Surface darkening can be reduced by treating substrate with BS3003 (1:4 – 1:7) or
Primis AF1000 (1:3)
6. 6. Recommended for INDOOR only
7. 7. Outdoor application require UV stabilizers.
8. 8. Formulations with colorant, matting agent, UV light stabilizers and plasticizers are
1. on-going
