THEME : CONSUMERISM AND FINANCIAL AWARENESS

TOPIC : PRUDENT LIFESTYLE

Write for creative and personal expressions:

LEARNING OBJECTIVES : By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:
1. describe the meaning of at least 5 given
words.
2. construct 5 complete sentences using
conjunctions (and, so, or, because)
appropriately.
3. produce an attractive and interesting
poster to promote an event.

CROSS CURRICULAR ELEMENTS : Entrepreneurship, financial education, values,

*ACTIVITIES: : 1. Pupils use ’monopoly money’ to bid for the

words at the information stations. (Station

Station C : dictionary and Station D:
bilingual dictionary).
5. In groups, pupils construct 5 sentences
based on the words they have learnt

6. Each group produces a poster on Car-
boot-sale for the school’s
Entrepreneurship Day event.
iii. POST-LESSON : 7. In groups pupils discuss and give star
rating (1 to 5 stars) to the other group’s
production. (1 stays 3 stray)
8. The group which with the highest number
of stars wins.

TEACHER’S REFLECTION : 1. 25/30 pupils were able to find the meanings


using electronic gadgets and dictionary.
2. 5 pupils were guided by the teacher on how to
use gadgets during the activity
3. 20/30 pupils were able to produce posters
about
car-boot-sale as required.
4. 10 pupils will be given more exercises on
constructing sentences.

*Elements of 21st Century Skills, Inquiry-based learning, differentiation strategies, assessment should
be infused in the steps of the lesson.
