Anchor blocks and Support Piers

Expansion joint

Support Piers

-Rigidly hold the Penstock pipe. Support Piers supports the


-Normally provided at every bend and at penstock vertically and prevent
every 30m span of straight sections of penstock from sagging
Penstock line. -It allows axial movement of

to minimize the Penstock load on Turbine. - Generally provided at the span
of 3m interval in MHP.
