 * All Competitors (PCV & Open) must be prepared to supply a
volunteer for this competition. We may or may not need your
nominated helper but in case we do, please do not enter unless you can
provide a name of a volunteer on the entry form – thank you!

Conditions of Entry: Entry is conditional upon acceptance of these conditions

1. Entering this competition constitutes
acknowledgement that PCV rules apply and
acceptance of these rules.
2. Entry Fee is $70 per entry for Pony Club
classes, $80 for Open. Please note there will
be no refunds after closing date 1/12/18.
All refunds prior to closing date will attract a
$20 admin fee.
3. Before riding - All Open Competitors
must complete and submit a Liability
Declaration form available on the day.
A $10 Participation Fee is also payable in
addition to the entry fee UNLESS proof
of current financial membership of
PCAV, EV/EA, AHS, SHCA, AERA,
HRCAV, an interstate Pony Club or can
provide proof of Personal Liability Cover
of at least $10,000,000. If you are
required to pay the $10.00 Day
Participation Fee, you must also
complete and submit a Day
Participation Waiver form.
4. Before riding - All PCV Competitors must
present their 2017/2018 and 2018/2019
grading cards to office for verification.
5. Gear Check for ALL Competitors is
required 20 mins before each phase.
6. Medical armbands must be worn by all
competitors in all phases.
7. All Competitors must wear “Standards
Approved” complying Helmets.
Complying helmets are: AS/NZS 3838
(AU), ASTMF1163 (USA), PAS015 (UK),
VGI (EUROPE), EN1384 (EUROPE) only
up to and incl. 2015 (if made in 2016 not
acceptable unless also complies with VGI) Spot
checks of helmets will occur and incorrect
helmets will incur elimination.
8. The organising committee reserves the right to
cancel any class or competition; alter times;
refuse any entry with or without stating the
reason.
9. Competitors may ride more than one horse,
subject to the conditions of PCAV Handbook of
By-laws multiple horse rules.
10. All Pony Club Competitors must be graded by
their DC for the Horse Trials grade they have
entered.
11. Competitors must be over 8 yrs old to compete
in Pony Club Horse Trials
12. Horses must be at least age four; no stallions,
colts or rigs.
13. Competitor numbers - the organising
committee will pre-allocate and advise numbers
and supply body numbers which must be worn
for all phases.
14. PCAV Alcohol Policy applies.
15. Dogs are prohibited at this event.
16. Queries, protests, horse abuse, rules as per the
PCAV Handbook of By-Laws.
17. No lungeing permitted on the grounds.
18. Neither the organising committee of this
competition nor the PCAV accepts any
responsibility whatsoever for any accident,
damage, injury or illness to horses, competitors,
ground spectators or any other person or
property.
