INTRODUCTION

1. Human Security are those concerns that affect human life and it includes Welfare, Justice and
Dignity. The Traditional notion of security focuses on Military balances and capabilities to a concept that
included safety from such chronic threats as hunger, disease and repression as well as protection from
sudden and hurtful disruptions in the patterns of daily life.

AIM

2. The aim of this presentation is to familiarize the audience with the Traditional and Contemporary
approaches to human security.
