Topic 1 – Main Frame

File – This pull-down menu gives you access to system related options, such as the
Printer Setup, Return to Login and Exit, New, Save, Delete and Restore

Edit – This pull-down menu gives you access to the standard Windows editing
functions such as Undo, Cut, Copy and Paste.

Window – This pull-down menu gives you access to the standard Windows window
functions that are only enabled when a form is open within the Main Frame.
The functions include Cascade, Tile Vertical, Minimize All, Arrange Icons and Close.

Help – This option gives you access to the context-sensitive Online Help system.

Launch the Explorer.

Click the ‘Space Shuttle’ icon on the Frame Bar or select ‘Favorites’ on the Menu Bar
and click ‘Explorer’

Click “Explorer button”

Find ‘Road Names’ using just the Explorer

In finding the form using the Explorer requires familiarization of the user on
the system.

Double Click
‘Road Names’
To find Road Sections,
Double Click ‘Features’

To help you find where forms are within the Explorer:
 Click the Find option from Main Menu or by pressing CTRL+F simultaneously.

Click The ‘Find Program’ form will appear.

In the ‘Search for’

Find ‘Reports’ programs using the Find option:

To help you find where forms are within the Explorer:


 Click the Find option from Main Menu or by pressing CTRL+F simultaneously.

Log out of the system using the ‘Take a Break’ Button

This button closes all forms you currently have open


returns you to the Login Screen

Log in again, and then Exit using the appropriate button on the Frame Bar.

Topic 2 - Forms

From the Road Names form, find all roads with ‘Man’ as
part of its name.

Double click ‘Road Names’ form

Road Names form will appear.

enter the filter criteria ( Man*)

Select the Roads Names list, and preview a list of all road names with a functional
classification of ‘East-West Lateral’.

Run a Data Query using ‘INV Pavement and Surface Types’ as the Data Source.
