Issue:
You would like any instruments that are part of your pipe model to be included in the isometric BOM.

Solution:
By default, instruments are not output to the BOM table in the out-of-box styles. To add instruments to the BOM
table, you have to add a new group for Instruments in the  isoconfig.xml

Follow these steps:

Open isoconfig.xml from %project folder%\Isometrics\%the used iso style%.
Use therefore a good XML Editor like XML Notepad  (https://www.heise.de/download/product/xml-notepad-
2007-39377)

Switch to the node "Data - AggregatedLists - AggregateList (name = Material) - Groups.

Copy one of the groups and paste it into the same level.

Change this new group as shown in the image below:

Save the file.

In the catalog/spec.

Model drawing:
In the model select the instrument valve and open the properties via context menu.
For property "Content Iso Symbol Definition" set TYPE="Instrument" and, separated by a comma, the SKEY 
(the SKEY can stay as it is as it defines only which block will be used).

Spec and Catalog:

Open the specifc catalog and select the instrument.
Fill field "Iso Symbol Type" with "INSTRUMENT" and "Iso Symbol SKEY" with the right SKEY.
Click button "Save to Catalog"

Open the associated project spec and choose from menu "Specs - Checks for Updates from Catalog".
Save the spec.
In AutoCAD Plant 3D open the specific model and enter command PLANTSPECUPDATECHECK to update the
model with the changes of the spec.

Now you can create a new isometric drawing and the instruments are listed separately in the grouped BOM:
