4) How do you think Macbeth feels after meeting the witches?

Macbeth is conflicted and dazed about the murdering of the king.


He is also left curious after meeting the witches. In the play, it
states that he feels as if he is on drugs.

5) How do you think Banquo feels?

Banquo feels devastated after meeting the witches. The witches


gave Banquo news about how he is less than Macbeth, which is why
he might have felt jealous and devastated.

6) In lines 104 – 107 what news does Ross bring to Macbeth?

Ross informs Macbeth that he is now the Thane of Cawdor.

7) How does Shakespeare show Banquo’s reaction to this news?

In the acting directions, Banquo is shocked by the news that was


given to Macbeth. He also said “Can the devil tell the truth?” as he
was in disbelief.

8) How has Macbeth come to be Thane of Cawdor?

Angus stated that the Thane of Cawdor is alive, but he has been
sentenced to death due to treason.

9) In lines 130 onwards how is Macbeth feeling after hearing this


news?
