Greyscale is an image-editing tool. You can convert colour images to black and white. It gives the image a
classic, timeless look. Sepia is another technique, but this provides warm brown tones. Originally it was
a method of film developing that removed the silver from a negative to prevent the image from fading.
The result was that instead of providing a black and white image, it produced a sepia one instead.

The processing solutions contain silver which must be used with the proper equipment before being
poured into the drains. Film based silver halide plates are used for single colour printing and metal based
silver halide plates are used in computer-to-plate systems.

The invention of the printing press is attributed to the German Johannes
Gutenberg in around 1440. He was a goldsmith. He developed a complete
printing system including a hard mould that made it possible to create
metal movable type. This allowed the mass production of books for the first
