Reflection
(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)
1.Briefly describe the field experience. What did you learn about technology coaching and technology leadership from completing this field
experience?

This conference was a great field experience that tied into my ITEC 7460 class. I was able to attend multiple PD sessions and interact with the instructors. I
got to experience some very useful and well-designed PD sessions as well as some sessions that were not useful and very unorganized. I used this field
experience as a model for creating my own PD session. I also was able to take some of the strategies that I learned at the conference and incorporate them
into my coaching practices this semester. This conference provided me with a an opportunity to demonstrate continual growth in knowledge
and skills of current and emerging technologies and apply them to improve personal productivity and professional practice.

2. How did this learning relate to the knowledge (what must you know), skills (what must you be able to do) and dispositions (attitudes, beliefs,
enthusiasm) required of a technology facilitator or technology leader? (Refer to the standards you selected above. Use the language of the PSC
standards in your answer and reflect on all 3—knowledge, skills, and dispositions.)

Knowledge – This field experience allowed me an authentic learning experience that I could take back to my classroom to model and facilitate the use of
digital tools and resources to engage students in authentic learning experiences. I was introduced to new ways to implement technology into the classroom to
engage students. I was also introduced to assessment strategies and different means to differentiate learning.

Skills - I gained new skills from this learning experience such as conducting escape room lessons in my classroom while using technology. I also was able
to learn how to organize PD sessions by watching others model their PD session. The skills that I gained meets the ISTE standards for 1D under the
Visionary leadership.

Dispositions This field experience was a positive experience for me as I learned new strategies to include in my coaching sessions with the colleague at the
school that I assisted this semester. It was also very positive in the sense that I was able to see PD sessions modeled for several different strategies.

3. Describe how this field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development or student learning at your school. How can the impact be
assessed?

I feel this field experience will have a tremendous impact on my school. I know have better understanding of the importance of assistive technology and
how beneficial it can to students with needs. I will be sharing my field experience with my course team, as well as the other course team leaders at my
school and explaining to them how the strategies that I learned could help them engage their students. This experience will also benefit my school by giving
me the knowledge to create an effective PD session after seeing several different models completed.
