The Campaign

The Ooban campaign was fought amongst four factions: Eldar, Tao, Chaos, and Tyranids.
For the purposes of Narrative, the campaign was split into three phases, however these
phases had no mechanical impact on the way the campaign was run.

Victory in the campaign, and the fate of Ooban itself, was determined through a series of
mini-campaigns within the campaign. Each faction fought three games against each other
faction in order to determine which gained the upper hand over the other, and victory in
these mini campaigns was what contributed to success in the overall campaign.

Phase 1

In a series of disturbing visions, the relatively young farseer Tathlen uncovers a threat to
the Tau controlled Ooban system that unless checked will grow to become a much larger
threat to the Eidrissaim craftworld itself.

Unfortunately Taathlen is unable to convince the council of seers of the severity of the
threat, and so she is left to find what little support from pirates and small aspect shrines
she can to try and act on her visions alone.

Without backing from the council, Tathlen realises that she cannot muster a warhost
strong enough to counter the threat and so she is forced to rely on Mon Keigh to form a
shield against the darkness. Inspired by her mentors legendary (and doomed) attempts to
control and direct the Tyranid into a weapon that can be harnessed by the Eldar, Tathlen
devises a two stage plan.

First she will lead an assault on a Tyranid hive fleet, hijack one of their ships, and drag it
through the webway to Ooban where she can seed the southern continent with tyranid
spores that will hopefully grow into a powerful enough force to combat the impending
chaos invasion.

A second pirate fleet, led by her friend Karianthor, is sent to strike at the world of Ooban
itself in a series of raids aimed at forcing the Tao to increase their armed presence on the
planet.
