Goal Statement

I have been interested in biology , especially genetics since I was in school, then
I decided to continue my undergraduate studies in medical laboratory sciences at
Arab American University of Palestine, which was an amazing opportunity for me
to continue with my passion about both biochemistry and medical fields and I
was lucky to meet such amazing stuff and professors at Arab American
University, I graduated on September 2017.

I am applying for the graduate program at the master level in Medical Laboratory
Sciences specializing in Molecular Genetics and Genetic Toxicology.

I think The master’s specialization Molecular Genetics and genetic toxicology is

a good match for me ,since I am interested in subjects as genetics, molecular-
and microbiology, cellular imaging, and cancer chemistry . More in general, this
master specialization is ideally suited as a basis for starting a research career at
a university or research institute and for a position in a bioscience-based
company.

I have been always looking forward to being involved in scientific research,

especially genetics related disorders, and I think I will found this in this master
program at Arab American University which is one of the best universities in
Palestine that has been shown a very noticeable developing both scientifically
and academically.

Some of my objects for Molecular Genetics and genetic toxicology master are to
be provided with advanced education and research opportunities and being well
trained to participate in scientific research, participate in accurate and precise
diagnoses of the molecular bases of the many genetic abnormalities that are well
recognized today and are widely spread in the Palestinian society. Moreover , I
would like to continue my graduate studies and get a PhD in a related field .

I had got many online courses related to medical laboratory sciences such as , a
course in Genomic Medicine from the university of Exeter , a course in Leading
Healthcare Quality and Safety from The George Washington University and
many other courses.

I have got about five months experience during my work at Al-shefaa Maithaloon
Medical Laboratory , that gave me a good background and made me more aware
about many applications in biomedical analysis .

I am really so excited to be involved in this master program and to gain the

knowledge I need to be well specialized in the field of molecular genetics, and to
participate in developing the medical services for Palestinian society through
participating in related scientific research , and also be well trained so as to
continue my education .
