La lectura es una de las habilidades más utilizadas en el mundo, pero a la vez es la

menos motivante, dado que en ocasiones hay textos muy extensos y con vocabulario
complejo que dificulta su comprensión y le resta interés al texto; afortunadamente
existen nuevos métodos que facilitan obtener la información necesaria y con ello
aumentar el léxico personal.

En este orden de ideas y con la finalidad de cumplir con el propósito de esta evidencia,
consulte el material complementario denominado Integration of products and
services.

Luego de esta consulta, resuelva el siguiente taller sobre comprensión lectora:

1. Find the main idea of paragraphs 1, 2, 9, 10, 11, and 12, and write them in a
paragraph.

Is necessary to say that its very difficult to know which are the paragraphs 1,2,9,10,11
and 12, because the text has some paragraphs in a single line and others in double line.

Three factors combine to reshape the foundations of the modern economy: the digital
revolution, international competition, and cultural and structural trends. Business-related
services are often instrumental in making products attractive to the consumer and
generating most of the added value in growth and employment. One is the Internet and
digital communications, transforming business economies as a digital economy. About
the digital revolutions there are cases like Tesla, a company founded as recently as
2003 who showed that electronics and automation have become key components in the
revolution of the car industry. However, as emerging countries move up the value chain,
they increasingly rival producers and service suppliers from advanced economies
because they can now leapfrog more advanced economies by adopting the latest
technologies and sourcing products and services globally.

2. Write a summary of ten lines from the text.

The integration of products and services in companies in the world has changed due to
globalization and advances in technology and social networks that force companies to
innovate and use technology to market their products with the acquisition of New
software, inclusion in digital platforms, applications and innovation in products of the
market, where the added value of the company is given by the presence of this in the
different digital and technological platforms. This forces the companies to work in a more
holistic and investigative way, as these tools are the ones that can keep or take a
company out of the market. Therefore, there is a unique opportunity to provide additional
value and gain international competitive advantage, accelerating the integration of
technology, services and design.

3. Choose a paragraph and translate it with your own words.

“The rationale of the emerging new economy is greatly influenced by ongoing cultural
and structural shifts, some of which are induced by technology, while others result from
broader societal trends. Their effect is profound, from the changing nature of work and
its growing fluidity to the emergence of a sharing economy. In particular, the consumer
and user perspectives – already central to current economic relations – will become
dominant even in business-to-business transactions”

La racionalidad de la nueva economía está influenciada fuertemente por los cambios

culturales y estructurales actuales, que en algunos casos son inducidos por la
tecnología y en otros resultan de tendencias sociales más grandes. Su efecto es
profundo, desde la naturaleza cambiante del trabajo y su creciente fluidez hasta la
aparición de una economía solidaria. En particular, las perspectivas del consumidor y
del usuario, que ya son centrales en las relaciones económicas actuales, que se harán
dominantes incluso en las transacciones entre empresas.
