Note that after the first fail the test is executed another time after swap the CPM/SFM5
boards. If the test fails again the sequence restarts but now at 6G.
In this case the unit fails two times and pass at 6G.
ANALYSIS/PROCEDURE/RESULTS
• First of all, It were performed visual inspection looking for assembly errors,
inspecting for issues on KGUs connectors, looking for dust or other strange
elements. No issues were found.
• The entire load of KGUs were changed and the test sequence was executed
again and the fails are persistent.
• The unit was disassembled an inspected looking for damage on connectors and
surfaces, impedance on the pins related to failed links was checked. No issues
were found.
• Using a microscope, visual inspection was performed to find back drills
inconsistencies like out of center perforations and/or barrels remains (“stubs”)
that can behave as antennas and may cause interference.
• The board was entirely inspected, in just few cases rests of dust was detected,
no more issues were found.
