Houston is one of the largest cities in the United States, which attracts large news companies such as CBS, ABC, and Fox. When the greater Houston Area covers 2 million people, there are a large number of radio and TV stations to reach out to people. Having a high concentration of broadcast companies in one area allows for many opportunities to start a career. The sports broadcast industry also generates many broadcasting jobs. With major league teams such as the Houston Dynamo, Houston Texans;and the recent world champion Houston Astos, the spots industry creates many jobs for people in and out of Houston to start and end careers there. While the Galveston area is not as large as the Houston area, therefore not attracting many news companies and having no major sports teams, the living costs are much lower, Galveston is also the closest city 79 Stew prove oe Toss Fes ashe to Houston, which makes it easy to live in Galveston while working in Flouston. It only takes around one hour to travel from downtown Galveston to downtown Houston, making for easy travel.
