essential to create a beneficial plan to integrate technology into education.

The plan describes the relevant research behind the plans design for strategies and/or
methods selected.
As stated in Harmony Public Schools student and staff handbooks, the school’s
mission is “to prepare the students for higher learning in a safe, caring, and collaborative
atmosphere through a quality learner-centered educational program with a strong
emphasis on Math, Science, Engineering, and Technology.”
Expanding the use of School technology by all staff and students towards online
instruction in all grades and curricular areas, including increasing the amount of video
instruction available outside of the classroom and tailored to the individual learner
helps a lot and is actually preferred. Using cloud-based tools for communication and
collaboration by all students and staff. Teaching all students to responsible for digital
citizens, keeping team and students informed of the latest legal and ethical behavior
issues related to technology. Embedding K-12 information literacy standards to in all
curriculum. Increased online course offerings for students and teachers both in and out
of District.

Describe teachers' current access to instructional technology and current use


of digital tools.

What technology is currently available to all teachers in Harmony School of
Excellence?
In my school all teachers have access to “Euphoria” website for lesson planning,
creating tests, evaluating test results and arranging workshops. All teachers have
trained during summer PD time on how to implement this technology in their class. All
classrooms have projectors, sound system, and printers; harmony provides all faculty
with a harmony email account for communicating with parents, teacher, and admin.
Also, such email groups make communication easier among departments. Additionally,
all teachers have document cameras, smart boards and chrome book set for each
classroom.

Which technology is being used in classrooms at each grade level and in each content
area?
In Harmony School of Excellence, the middle school students have used Chromebooks
for all content areas. Chromebooks are great devices working online in LOTE, ELA,
ESL, Math, and Science class. All students have access for extra work and online
tutorials. Also, some lessons have been using iPads and Laptops. Dual Ingo, Quizlet,
Quia registration provides for all students to study language in their classes.

Describe students' current access to instructional technology and current use of digital
tools. Include a description about the LEA policy, practices, and/or replacement policy
that ensures equitable technology access for all students.

Can all students have equal access to technology in the school?
All student on campus has the opportunity to access the technology devices and tools.
They have a computer lab which is a computer for every single student to use. Also,
each classroom has a Chromebook cart which has from 20 to 30 chrome books. These
carts are in almost every classroom and thus is very accessible for the students.

Can students have access in their homes, in community libraries, and at community
centers?
Harmony School of excellence gives the opportunity to all students to use computers
after school at computer labs. Some online web page they can study at their homes
include: Read theory, Alex, Myon, Studies Weekly, Quizlet, Quia, and Dual Ingo. All
those tools are also available after school hour or at home with their username and
passwords.

technology to improve teaching and learning. Describe how these goals align
to the LEA's curricular goals that are supported by other plans. Describe how
the LEA's budget (LCAP) supports these goals, and whether future funding

What are the LEA’s curriculum plans for assisting students in meeting standards and
demonstrating college and career readiness?
Harmony Public Schools are a college preparatory school and all
graduated students targeted to attend college. All labs and technological tools are
provided to realize this for all students. Dual credits and AP-Classes and Naviance
accounts are created for college prep for all high scholars and synched with Harmony
Schools database.

Harmony Public schools has several funding opportunities like federal funding and
grants for improving educational quality.

Harmony Public School Central Office IT manager and department chairs are
conducting pieces of training for faculty and students. In these training, all technology
users acquainted with how to use those tools in the safe, ethic and appropriate way.

Is the Harmony School of Excellence’s acceptable-use policy known to the students
and parents?
Acceptable use policy is published in student, parent and staff hand-books every
beginning of the year and students and parents have to sign these hands books. Every
semester for student information in school sessions are held to go over all policies.

understands how to use these new technologies to improve education services

How does Harmony School of Excellence assess teachers’ and administrators’
technology proficiency?
Technology meetings are regularly scheduled before school semesters so
teachers and admins can be caught up to date with current technology and
how to use them. Admins also check the proficiency of teachers by visiting
classrooms regularly

How does HSE combat teachers and admins lacking areas?
Harmony Public Schools had required summer workshops and monthly PD’s
which teachers and admins have to attend to fix areas that they need work on
or to improve in areas that they are lacking in.

What type of technology is available at school site?
Each campus has computer labs, laptops, printers, projectors, iPad,
graphing calculators and more. Science labs are very advanced, as
Harmony is known to be a STEM school. Affordable technologies are
utilized toward students’ learning of new topics.

How is technical support provided?
The HPS central office has an IT office which involves a coordinator that
informs schools’ computer teachers. If any issue is faced, the issue is tried
to be fixed as soon as possible.

resources, technical support, and asset management already in the LEA that
will be used to support the Curriculum and Professional Development
Components of the plan.

How are mobile devices and other devices secured to prevent theft?
All devices are assigned to the person in campus with most training and
experience on the device. If it is not in use it is in its corresponding carts.

Do all staff members have email accounts that students can use to reach them
by?
All teachers and admins in Harmony Public Schools are required to have a
harmony email where the admins and other teachers can reach them by and
also so the students and parents can reach them easily.

and telecommunications infrastructure, physical plant modifications, technical
support, and asset management needed by the LEA's teachers, students, and
administrators to support the activities in the Curriculum and Professional
Development components of the plan.

What technology improvement is needed so the students and staff can
accurately implement the Curriculum?
There are several internet problems during peak hours and the best way to fix
this issue would be to get better and more durable internet in a larger scale.
This would allow staff to be able to fully use internet resources to their highest
potential in their classrooms.

How do parents access school information about their students from home?
Parents can access school information about their students by logging on to
the respective Harmony school website that they attend. and using a parent log
in to check their student’s grades, schedule, disciplinary standing, etc.

MONITORING AND EVALUATION COMPONENT


The plan must include an evaluation process that enables the school to monitor
progress toward the specific goals and make mid-course corrections in
response to new developments and opportunities as they arise.

Describe the process for evaluating the plan's overall progress and impact on
teaching and learning.

How to improve teacher evaluating system?
Teacher evaluating systems can be improved with Professional
learning opportunities that emphasize effective Coaching and support.
Fortunately, many other approaches can work here as well. Video
observation exercises are one of the approaches that work, classroom
walk-throughs, and deliberate practice with useful coaching
conversations can implement with some frequency. Evaluation
systems won’t work if we continue to single school administrator to
evaluate all teachers. There is not enough time to get to each and
every teacher.

How to evaluate students learning?
Assessing students’ performance can involve tests that are formal or informal,
high- or low-stakes, anonymous or public, individual or collective. The teacher
creates assignments and also uses classroom assessment techniques,
concept maps., and concept tests. The central office make DA’s and/or CBA’s
to evaluate student’s success.

Describe the schedule for evaluating the effect of plan implementation,


including a description of the process and frequency of communicating
evaluation results to tech plan stakeholders.

How often will evaluate the effect of plan implementation, including a
description of the process be reported to the superintendent and other
stakeholders?
The cluster committee meets every year to go over data and indicators
determined within the plan. The teachers and all department chairs discuss
plan implementation every month at the PD meeting with any feedback
delivered to the technology committee. These meetings custom the foundation
to evaluate the campus technology plan’s putting into practice.

How will the data be collected?
In Harmony Public Schools, data is collected by teachers, Department Chairs
and Dean of Academics. Every nine week students have their report card
sprinted and sent to the home and data is checked and published by parents
and the IT manager.
