PRESENTATION TO MR JAMES
WILKINSON.
Mr James. Wilkinson, ex-junior parlia

mentary representative for Ipswichj was

made the recipient of a purse containing a

hundred sovereigns on Saturday night last.

The testimonial was raised by a committee,

of which Mr Isaac Ham was chairman and
Mr T. F. Linthwaite secretary. They state
that the contributions towaic's the gift came

from all sections of the community, and that

all to whom they appealed spoke in most
respectful terms of Mr Wilkinson. The pre
''

sentation was made in Ham's rooms,

Nicholas-street, where an appetising spread
had been laid out by Host Ham. To this a

representative gathering sat down, including

several ladies and a number of railway em

ployees.
