PUBH XXX Theoretical Questioning for Public Health Research is an in-person
graduate level course that is partially online with quizzes, assignments, and supplemental materials. The course is designed so that the students can get an understanding of what some of the different theoretical frameworks are and how they can be applied for use in social research and public health research specifically. Two modules were created to showcase how the online portion of the class would function: Week 4 Constructionism and Week 9 Deconstructionism. In these modules, supplemental readings can be found as well as the weekly reading quiz and the information for Article Critique 3. Because of the in- person nature of the class, the primary information for the course will be convey through the lectures and discussions that happen in-person. The book readings will provided adequate background information for the students to know when showing up for class. The supplemental readings will be available so the students can learn more if they are having a difficult time understanding what the book readings are trying to explain. The reading quizzes will be to ensure that the students are getting through the readings. These quizzes will be open ended questions so the students will have to summarize instead of skimming for answers.
