September is the official month of science as mandated by the Department of Education.

In observance of the science and technology week with the theme “Science for the people,
Science for CALABARZON; Innovation that transform the future .”the A.S.T.I.G. club
( A Science and Technology Influential Group ) of Manggahan National High School
organized series of activities for the month of science month.

b. Art materials such as oil pastel, crayons, colored pens, watercolor, marker and pencil. (
Each contestant must provide their own materials )
c. Duration of the contest shall not exceed for three hours.

CONTEST SCI-SLOGAN MAKING

 CONTEST SCIENCE QUIZ BEE
PARTICIPANT(S) 4 representatives per year level
TIME ALLOTMENT 3 hour

Rules and Mechanics

1. The Science Quiz Bee will be a team competition.

2. The quiz bee will be divided into three (3) rounds: the EASY, AVERAGE, and
DIFFICULT round.
 The Easy, Average, and Difficult round consists of 30 questions.
Easy - 10 Questions; Average - 10 Questions Difficult - 5 Questions
 The Easy Round questions will have 4 options and for Average & Difficult Round
no option will be given to the participating teams.

3. The questions for the entire contest will cover the fields of Sciences, namely;
(1) Physics, (2) Chemistry, (3) Biology, and (4) Earth Sciences. It may be
conceptual and/or situational science concepts questions.

4. The questions will be in language of English.

5. NO calculators, conversion tables, and the like will be allowed.

6. Clarifications regarding the rules of the competition shall be entertained

before the start of the quiz bee. Any protest within the contest shall be
entertained by the Board of Judges and whatever decision made by the
board is final.

7. Any protest will be entertained after each round.

8. All scores will be tabulated after the final round.

Rules and Mechanics

This contest is a fun way for students to explore recycling methods in a creative way.

Contest Rules
1. At least 90% of the contestant entry must be recycled from some previous use.
2. Each contestant must provide their materials and recycled materials on the venue.
3. Contestant for this contest will design, build, or create on the spot, something useful,
that is made from recycled materials.
4. Each entry will be judged on the above criteria.

CONTEST BAZERO CONTEST

PARTICIPANT(S) Open to all students of MNHS who are willing and
interested.
TIME ALLOTMENT 2 hour
Criteria
CRITERIA FOR Total no. of accumulated points out of plastic bottles and coke in

Rules and Mechanics

1. Participants will be assessed using a point system, based on the total count of
accumulated points
2. There will be a schedule for the submission of collected plastic bottles and coke in
cans on the following dates September 24-27, 2018.
3. Each participant will be given record slip of accumulated points upon submission of
collected plastic bottles and coke in cans.
4. The three participants who got the most number of accumulated points will be
declared winner.

Rules and Mechanics

1. A member/s on one section group cannot be part on the other group, and also
s/he cannot be part on another sections group.
2. Maximum running time of the said infomercial is 15 minutes only and must not
be lower than 30 seconds.
3. The info-commercial focus on how technology, inventions and innovations
makes the lives of the people better.
4. Infomercial must be inclined with the theme of science month “ Science for the
people ,Science for CALABARZON ; Innovation that transform the future”.
5. English as medium of language is only allowed.
6. Any forms of multi-media devices are allowed in creating the infomercial.
7. All created infomercial must be original and no part of it was been obtain from
any shows or television commercials.
8. To enhance the audio and video presentation. Subtitle is encouraged, to
transcribe the conversation and make sure colored font is visible.
9. The winner of the infomercial will be shown on the Mr. and Ms. Trashy
Fashionista culminating activity as a commercial break.
10. Submitted entry must have the complete filename and section of the video, to
avoid technicality problem.

Rules and Mechanics

 Anyone that could best represent the class will be chosen as class representatives The qualified
candidates for the Mr. and Ms Fashionista 2018 will be judged into three different category: FORMAL
WEAR ENVIRONMENTAL COSTUME, CASUAL WEAR ENVIRONMENTAL COSTUME and MR & MS
FASHIONISTA MODEL.
 Below is the list of scheduled activities in the duration of the search.
a. PRESENTATION OF CANDIDATES
 The candidates will introduce themselves wearing their school uniform based on the set of standards:
1. Name, Year and Section and their motto in life
b. CASUAL WEAR ENVIRONMENTAL COSTUME COMPETITION

 Each candidate will wear parade their CASUAL WEAR out of recycled materials during the search.
They will be on the center stage showing their confidence and grace on how they carry themselves with
the clothes they wear.

c. FORMAL WEAR ENVIRONMENTAL COSTUME COMPETITION

 Each candidate will wear their personally and originally designed environmental costume thru
recycled materials that manifest his love for nature.
