build the system you need. If your requirements change, the ThinkPad 770’s versatile
design ensures that your notebook PC is ready to grow with you. As always, this new
ThinkPad is designed with a keen eye on backward and forward compatibility to
minimize “parts on the floor” obsolescence.

The new UltraBay II can accommodate many different options including an additional
hard drive (770 or 760 hard drive with optional 2nd HDD Adapter), a second battery,
or a DVD, CD-ROM, diskette drive or even a VST Zip100 drive. The new side-loading
design also makes it easy to swap devices in and out.

award-winning TrackPoint that make for faster navigation

• New “Press-to-Select” or “Release-to-Select” features allow


tapping of the TrackPoint itself to speed icon launches and
reduce keystrokes
• A new programmable center button enables fast scrolling of
Web sites and documents, or fast panning across wide
spreadsheets; or switch to the innovative magnifying glass
feature to enlarge screen views in any application
• New softer TrackPoint suspension top requires less appar-
