DATA PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION

This chapter presents the gathered data of the acceptability and effectiveness of
the 12-volts Forward-Stop-ReverseAccelerating and Timed Motor Controller Trainer.

Data Presentation

Based on the data gathered from the respondent especially Electronics and
Electrical students, Instructors/Professors. This result shows below.

This table 1 presents the data analysis of the acceptability of the 12Volts Forward-
Stop-ReverseAcceleratingand Timed Motor Controller Trainer in terms of its
appearance. Having 6 respondents in Electronics and Electrical Professors/Instructor.
To get the mean, first it must be multiply the number of the respondent who used the
rate the different level to the ranking skill. And summation of all products is needed to
be applied and divide it by the total number of respondents.

Data discussion

Upon getting the weighted mean on gathered data based on the survey had
been conducted and computed it and get the descriptive meaning of each total mean,
the researchers answered the remaining question being raised on the stated problem.
The answers are as follows:

The 12volt Forward Stop Reverse and Timed Motor Controller Trainer is an
instructional material because it is versatile in terms of specialization. We can use it
either in electronics or in electrical. And it can be used as an instructional material.The
difference between the12volt Forward Stop Reverse and Timed Motor Controller Trainer
to the previous motor controller trainer that we see, the12volt Forward Stop Reverse
and Timed Motor Controller Trainer has a digital timer instead of analog by the previous
motor controller trainer.

The digital timer is much cheaper than the analog timer with incomes to the
price. It is design for electronics and electrical instruction material. It has a speed control
feature that makes the motor rotate fast and low. It has a fault indicator that makes
identify immediately the short circuit type of error. It is more logical in terms of making
diagram that challenges the student to perform.

The disadvantages of 12volt Forward Stop Reverse and Timed Motor Controller
Trainer

The digital timer sometimes creates static function that makes the circuit
irregularly works. The minimum range of timer is 1 minute unlike to analog 5 seconds
only. The speed control circuit used in the prototype is more complicated to use than to
direct the motor power system to the lines of 12volt DC power source. The type of relay
used on the timer circuit has the common connection between normally open and
normally close that created conflict to the control system.
