This chapter presents the summary of the findings revealed in the study. It also
includes the conclusions drawn and the recommendations offered by the researchers.
Summary
The main objective of this study is identifying the influence of strand chosen by
grade 12 students toward their motivation and self-efficacy.
This study tackled the influence of strand that affect the performance of senior
high school students in The Mabini Academy. The researchers focused in two major
factors that are highly affecting the performance of senior high school student, notably
as motivation and self-efficacy.
Descriptive research is use in this study which aids the researchers to find out
the influence of strand chosen by the grade 12 students toward their motivation and
self-efficacy. Descriptive research is used for it is the most suitable design to find
answer to the questions posed in this endeavor. Its objective which was to describe
systematically a situation, condition, or area of interest was materialized factually and
accurately.
The main data gathering instrument that will be used in this study is the self-
constructed questionnaire. This instrument is the appropriate in gathering the pertinent
information needed in this study. At the same time, the study employed the frequency
and percentage, weighted mean, and Chi-square as the basic statistical treatment used
in this endeavor.
Conclusions
In the light of important findings revealed in this study, the following
conclusions were drawn.
1. Most of the respondents of this study were (kung sio ang nakarami F/M) for
the population of the senior high school were dominated by (M/F), most of the
students belong to the age of (AGE). Aside from that, most seniors belong to
the (STRAND) who specialize Science-Technology courses.
2. In this research, making the parents proud when it comes to academic is the
most important variable when it comes to the influence of each strand chosen
by the grade 12 students toward motivation and self-efficacy.
