What’s going on with our Tax system?

There’s somewhat of people think it’s unfair about our tax system. Some has to pay high taxes

while the others who’re wealthy don’t pay as much in our country. When Joseph Stiglitz argues

that wealth belongs to the 1 percent and continue to increase while 99% of others are falling

from the tax system (Stiglitz, pg 288). What he mentions is that only only 1 percent of American

pays less taxes while 99 percent pay more taxes or the same. As though we can acknowledge the

fact that the tax system need to change and to be fairly to poverty and wealthy citizens. In Joseph

Stiglitz article A Tax System stacked against the 99% percent was that Wealthy Americans have

been successful in getting well respect and continue to do themselves, but then while the other

have to work their way up to reach a goal. What the rhetoric would most be logos and pathos and

showing the audiences what’s happening with our economics fields. It shows the statistics of the

percentages of what’s the average rate of axes between the poverty and wealthy class. They

need to know the equality of the people and see the struggle of what's around them since

somewhat wealthy people treat others poorly since we’re either middle or lower class wealthy

people needs to consider the real implications. Stiglitz is trying to show that it needs to change

with what the tax system to be fairly and equal with the poor and the richest. Stiglitz states that

“rate averaged less than 2 percent from 2002 to 2012.” this meaning is that our rate since 2002 to

2012 was the average rate tax 2% and not sure whether it’s good or not. Joseph Stiglitz provided

for his assertion that the wealthiest is 1 percent of americans that pay less taxes than they should.

They expected that as their income increase than the others, it would decreased. Middle and

lower class are already to start to fall while the upper class is on top and dealing a bit of tax. It

doesn’t necessarily have to be like this. Would’ve been more simpler that the tax system without

all distortion. A society that some of the people get the same income while working and having

to pay the same taxes. Furthermore our broken tax system is not just the economy. Our taxes

goes heavily towards on voluntary compliances. The people believe it’s unfair that the

government play a big role not just social protections, more of investments. Without all this our

economics system will be low.

An achievement Joseph Stiglitz successfully states was that if “the tax system changes, it’ll

encourage good things like hard worker and thrift and discourages bad things such as rent

seeking, gambling, financially, and pollution” (Stiglitz 293). Usually we’re not on that pathway,

we’ve been going through threats to end Medicare and Social security that’ll last a next quarter

century.Stiglitz brings up that another unfairness is the treatment of carried interest. And some of

the wall street financiers are able to pay taxes at lower capital gain tax rate in income that funds.

Economist often believe that it’s fair like it’s their favorite word. But usually the unfairness of

the american tax system. Economist have focused less on the equality than on the more

mundanes issues of growth. What he believes, and the audiences is that there’s a few ethos

showing us that our reasons for our poor economic performance is the large distortion in our

economy caused by the tax system. They focused more on how poor will be poor and rich will be

rich and don’t have to worry about the tax system while others are falling and dealing with this

situation. It matter to Stiglitz because of the society we live in and how the tax system grows

more and having people is bad conditions to get same income and same taxes and these people

are falling. Joseph Stiglitz explain his audience that if Americans believe that government is

unfair then our government of 1 percent for the 1 percent and by the 1 percent of faith in our

democracy it will surely perish (Stiglitz 294). The tax system can play an important role in our

society in moderating the degree of inequality. What show logos was to prove the statistics of

american and what’s low and high taxes rate of the percentages of poverty and wealthy.

Showing this the financial sector before the 2007 and 2008 crisis. Majority of the people would

want everything to be equal, choosing the former over the latter but our tax system increase the

net returns from engaging in some in those activities, also helped us become a renting seek

society. Half of the people believe that it need to change so that everything can be equal and try

to maintain but again it’s still the same and will continue to have this further in the future. We

can all agree that most wealthy people pay less tax rate than middle and lower and nothing can’t

stop the falling of our people that works either salary or minimum wage. If the economy

continues to still have this issue in the future than usually it wouldn't be as great and our future

wouldn’t be as bright as we picture.

Again the richest 400 individuals with income so high they pay less than 20 percent of the rate

of taxes while 25 percent of lower class paying this much which outrages the people who are

struggling with jobs, homes, debt, etc. Wealthy is getting treated as well respect people knowing

they’re in top and paying 20% of taxes while others believe it’s unfair to have this issue in

society. The point about the tax system is that it can change for the people that don’t deserve to

pay as much, to have to be in debt since mostly half of the United State is between stuck in the

middle class or below poverty. Joseph Stiglitz states that “wealth belongs to the 1 percent and

continue on to increase while 99% of others are falling from the tax system” (Stiglitz 288).

Meaning of this shows that it’ll stick to that until the tax system either be lower or upper in the

situation.

This process of the article is that showing the statistics around the world knowing what’s

going on with our tax system. It really hard for people that have to face those challenges to either

be poor or having stable money. The tax rate increases with wealthy people and usually our

economic can fall any moment to raise more tax prices for the poverty and middle class. It need

to be fix once again to have equality for the people that’ll increase the rating for poverty and

middle class and also letting others have goals to succeed around them to prove the

government/economist to have the democracy not fall.

My belief is that when we think about the tax system, as adults we don’t wanna either hear

about or pay what you own because some communities either needs it for purposes, situations

that affecting their life. What needs to be fair for the Americans is that we need to change the tax

system and make the wealthy either paying more or equal the tax rate for everyone would fairly

pay for the system. What the audience knows is the amount the wealthy citizens pay in the rating

of taxes and once this can change and economist can go forward to the future than staying the

same rates of taxes, it would be a better future for the communities and childrens in the next

generation. The fear of most civilians is that if the economics falls with the tax system, most

people will fall into the system with them as you can see most people already did when they had

bills that didn’t pay off, debt will rise and the future wouldn’t be as bright.. It would start another

Great Depression again. No one wouldn’t want to see that fall, it should be well balanced and

create equality between wealthy, middle, and lower class. It must change and we need it now.
