Strengths of the lesson:

 Good reminders to raise hands

 Very nice relationship with the children now
 Children engaged and on task
 Materials ready on the table
 Much better variety of activities – happy to see no worksheets
 Good – you chose a child at the back of the circle to answer
 Good reminder to talk quietly
 Much more confident in the transition
 Well managed reminder to be quiet whilst working
 Short time on the carpet, well done
 Students engaged and on task during the activities
 Good monitoring, moving around, supporting learning – big improvement in this area
 Calm, relaxed lesson with children cooperating with each other well
 You are managing the class well but see below for areas of improvement
 Children settle down really well on the carpet at the end, despite the messy transition
 Much better positive feedback
 Good to target particular children for questions at the end
Focus for next lesson:
 One tooth, two teeth!
 Which double DO we have here?
 The children really like the dinosaur game but don’t let the children at the back get off their
bottoms – they were kneeling and you didn’t notice.
 Let the children at the back of the carpet answer the questions as well
 The activities were much better but some of the children could have done a second activity
so you really need a backup activity for these children
 Clean up transition was very noisy – try and make this a bit quieter
