Stage :second group A2

By : shaker ahmed
Supervised :mss.naeema taher aref
Date of experiment :4/11/2018
Date of submitting : 12/11/2018
Result and calculation :
Given:mass of piston ,M=1kg ,weight of piston:w=9.81*1=9.81N
Area of piston =315mm2=0.315*10-3mm2
𝑤∗10^−3
True pressure =0.315∗10^−3 = − − KN/m2

**we subtraction 22kpas from gauge value because we start from 22kps

9.81∗10^−3
True pressure for 2kg= = 31.14 KN/m2
0.315∗10^−3

The gauge reading of 1kg is =30 kpa

𝑔𝑎𝑢𝑔𝑒 𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔−𝑡𝑟𝑢𝑒 𝑝𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑠𝑢𝑟𝑒
%error= × 100
𝑔𝑎𝑔𝑒 𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔

 Error of 30kpas increasing gauge reading is:

30−31.14 −1.14
= × 100 = × 100
30 30

=-3.6%

 Error of 30kpas decreasing gage reading is :

30−31.14 1.14
= × 100= × 100
30 30

=-3.6%
**we subtraction 22kpsa from gauge value because we start from 22kps

 Conclusion :
Though this experiment in the fluid laboratory , we learned
how to measure the pressure using bourdon gauge and how to
use this device ,and we calculated the pressure for different
weight by add 0.5kg on the origin weight of piston and
recorded this data and compared them with a true pressure of
weight on cross area and conclusion of the error ratio.
