Transport and set-up
Efficient and compact transport units allow a fast and safe
moving and rig-up/down operation and a reduction of
transport costs. The self-erecting systems of the mast and
the drill floor together with the compact dimensions of the
components reduce enormously the necessary crane
capacity for the rig-up. To accelerate the rig-up operation
with a higher safety level, all heavy duty bolts are
hydraulically driven.
Compact, modular transport units with container locks
The compact footprint of the complete unit – compared
to conventional rigs of corresponding capacity – reduces
the costs for wellsite preparation and the environmental
impact.

Hoisting system
The innovative BAUER Hybrid System combines the
advantages of a cylinder system and winch system.
The triple cylinder enables fast installation and extraction
of the drill string. The cylinder system also allows a pushing
force. For running casing the powerful main winch is being
used. Both systems can be used independently for both
installation of drill pipes and casings and therefore provide
an important redundancy in the hoisting system.
The hybrid system can also been driven simultaneously by
winch and cylinder and is therefore able to activate a
higher hook load capacity.
Pipe handling system
The automated pipe and casing handling system with
excellent tripping speed increases the efficiency of the
operations and ensures maximum work safety by its
hands-off technology – no fingerboard and derrickman
necessary. The pipe handler directly interfaces with the
top drive without the necessary of a mouse hole.

Driller´s cabin

Automatic drilling control systems like constant weight on

bit or constant speed control relieve the driller, improve
the drilling performance and reduce the wear and tear
costs (e.g. optimal drill bit operation). The system is also
equipped with a digital data acquisition and storage
system.
