20Guidance.pdf) policy (DVSAS) in March 2014. It requires each bureau
to issue a DVSAS policy and implement a program that provides general
information, training, and guidance for employees and managers
(https://hru.gov/Course_Catalog.aspx?cid=231&mgr=false). The policy
also requires the reporting of all instances of sexual assault allegations
and timely and appropriate investigations by the response team. It also
allows for workplace flexibilities (such as telework) for employees who
need it.
Bureaus share information about the DVSAS policy and program at new
employee orientations and occupational health visits, and incorporate it
into workplace wellness activities.
Sexual assault is a serious issue. Victims are not to blame for the actions
of their perpetrators.
