17 The student will

a) collect and organize data, using observations, measurements, surveys, or experiments;

b) construct a line plot, a picture graph, or a bar graph to represent the data; and

c) read and interpret the data represented in line plots, bar graphs, and picture graphs and write a
sentence analyzing the data.

Purpose/ Objectives:

Language: I will be able to answer the given questions. I will discuss a graph with my classmates and
teacher using the key words.

Content: I will gather information to create a graph and use it to understand the data collected.

Directions in student-friendly language:

Ask your partner the questions and write down their answers in your journal. Then, answer your
partners questions as they write them down. After we are all finished, we will make a graph on the
board of everyone’s answers and discuss the data.
