(Morrison, 2016). According to this journal, there are several problems that the students faced in
learning. The problem included socioeconomics, student academics, parental involvement, and socio
emotional status. The student also faced many obstacles on their learning process that affect
college/career access and attainment and provides suggestions for school counselors working with ELLs
to increase their college-going culture. Because in USA, there are thousands of student that came from
different background culture. For the solutions, in order to increase the college-going culture among
ELLs, it is important to be aware of their college-going process. In a five-step process of college
planning, consisting of (1) aspiring to college, (2) acquiring college qualifications, (3) graduating from
high school, (4) applying to college, and (5) enrolling in college, ELLs begin to fall behind in the first
step; that is, theybegin to fall behind during the college aspiration and planning stage (Kanno & Cromley,
2015). To resolve this problem, it may be beneficial for ELLs to hear the stories of successful ELL
graduates, where they can relate to their challenges and learn from the successes (Cook et al., 2015).

to her. It is because the teacher assistant not comfortable with their own language skill. These problems

learner, previous experience about the learner language uses at her home or where else.

SOLUTION

According to these 4 journals that I have read. There are many kind of problem that the learner
faced in their learning process. like, the students background, characteristic, social situation and emotion,
Etc. in my opinion, the teacher should be work more to solve this problems. They need to be more
creative more interactive, because it will make the student more confidence on facing these problems. In
chase, we can’t despite parenting aspect that will affect the teaching and learning process better.

EVALUATION

In my opinion, the solution on these 4 journals are appropriate with the problem. The researchers
use many kind of method for solving the problem in improving the learner skill in learning English
language. For the result, the learner skill in learning was increase by using that kind of method. Like
using the novel approaches for the Iranian learner for improving their speaking skill.
