Instructed Grades 9 and 11 (20-2) English Language Arts classes part-time. Designed unit plans
tailored specifically to needs of students. Collaborated in professional development with mentor
teacher to create Learning Packets based upon texts studied. Established a Creative Writing club
for students that can continue to flourish after practicum end.

Taught Grades 7 and 8 (English Language Arts, Drama, and Health) one-third time working up to

image prompts, poetry, and sentence-stretching. Directed performance activities including rhythm
and readers theatre. Introduced and guided mindfulness and relaxation strategies to aid with
student stress.
