VALIDATION METHOD ASTM D-323 AND ASTM D-5191 ON TEST

RESULT OF PRESSURE SAMPLE POLYMER GASOLINE IN PT.
PERTAMINA (PERSERO) REFINERY UNIT VI BALONGAN

Polymer gasoline as one of the components of Pertamax Turbo product

maker using ASTM D 323 and ASTM D 5191 method in fuel section by using
existing equipment. The test results of both methods are then validated by using
statistics to determine the precision and accuracy. Based on data processing
through statistical tests conducted, get the ASTM D 323 method with Precision:
98,6804%. Where as the ASTM 5191 method with Precision: 98,7623% and
Accuracy 2,2223. It can be concluded that the test results of both methods show
that the ASTM D 5191 method has a higher level of accuracy. then for testing the
vapor pressure of Polymer Gasoline samples, the ASTM D 5191 test method can
replace the ASTM D 323 test method.
